Every public school needs to get this!
This worked awesome. It was a very quick way to determine if/when my kids came home from school with lice. It took less than 10 min to comb through all of my daughter's long middle of her back hair. When she finally did get lice from school after 2 1/2 months of braiding her hair everyday and doing all the prevention tricks, I did a quick comb through, discovered the lice and found 5 adults and 3 teenagers. When I cleaned them out of the comb after each pass, about half were dead and the other half were more stunned than dead ( the younger, smaller ones). I put them on a piece of tape and assumed I would find more lice when I oiled up her hair with olive oil, essential oils and used a metal nit comb to do a more thorough job. This oil part took me almost 3 hours. To all of our amazement, I combed out what seemed like hundreds of eggs, but did not find another adult or teenage lice dead or alive after the initial electronic comb through. If this was used by the schools and the kids they let back into school after having been infested, lice would be very simple to avoid and eliminate, And our family would have never had to have been traumatized by creepy crawlies in our home, not to mention the major inconvenience, stress and time involved.I love the fact that no chemicals are used.No chance of the lice getting resistant to the electricity!By using this product, we were able to quickly determine lice at first suspicion and quickly rule out and prevent others in our home from being infested.

ineffective and caused a rash
I have 2 issues with this comb, a rash problem and its ineffectiveness.I tried this comb on my 6 year old daughter and 5 minutes after using it for 10 min, she developed a huge painful rash on her chest. I thought it might be the comb but probably she ate something shortly before I began to comb her hair that gave her the rash.2 days later, I tried the brush again and she developed the same rash. In addition, I found lice without using the comb and then combed the hair over the lice to test whether the comb worked and it failed every single time. The most effective way to remove lice in my experience is to sit outside in bright light and remove them manually. The sun light makes it very easy to find the lice, ten remove them by pulling them along the hair shaft and putting them in scotch tape so they don't go anywhere.

and wasn't very satisfied with it
I bought this as a more inexpensive alternative to a Robi comb, and wasn't very satisfied with it. I used the comb on myself, and had no idea if it actually worked. I used it on myself and I couldn't see if the light was illuminating, so I don't know if it was actually killing anything, and I never found any evidence in the comb itself. Unlike the Robi comb, there is no audible alert if the comb makes contact with a bug. Highly unsatisfied.

I can't really tell if this works or not. ...
I can't really tell if this works or not. We wound up having to get rid of most of the lice before it got here. Wish I could help you. It lit up a couple of times. I never saw any lice on it. Wonder if it would work on fleas?

Waste of Money!
This DOES NOT work to kill lice. You're better off getting a regular nit comb and doing all the work yourself. What a waste of money!

It works
It works if you run it over actual lice. The problem with it is it also lights up when there is nothing there giving you the impression that there are still lice in your hair.

I wouldn't recommend it.
I'm sorry but I don't think this thing works at all. I would return it if I could.
