These things rock. Work perfect. I was doing some auxiliary lighting on my car and used these to tie into the fuse box pigtails and they worked like a charm and are thing so I can cover them in loom for a professional install. They hold the wires well and the environment splice keeps the connection from getting contaminated

These connectors are pretty good, but I dont think I would use them in critical applications.The solder has a very low melting point, and seems somewhat soft once cooled.I've recently used them on some radio and backup cameral work. We'll see how the ones under my truck hold up in the long term.With all of that said, it's much easier to use these than soldering in a tight space.For critical applications, I would still go with traditional solder and a waterproof heat shrink.Be careful not to overheat them as I had a couple where the solder started dripping out of the heat shrink!

These are easy to use connectors and seem to do a great job of both soldering the wire together as well as heat shrinking to prevent moisture from compromising the joint. Using in an automotive application and feel much more comfortable using these versus regular terminal connectors.

I've been using crimp butt connectors for years and then having to seal the ends with liquid electric tape, or before that wrapping with electrical tape. Who ever invented these deserves a BIG hug. The previous negative reviews for this particular company obviously didnt know what they were doing. The first attempt with these, using a heat gun as instructed worked perfect. I used the low setting on the gun at first and then kicked it up to high to melt the solder just for a short quick period and turn it off. Make sue to rotate the heat gun on the solder joint.Great product !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I installed a "tail tidy" on my Kawasaki using these. I've never installed one before and have never spliced a wire. Overall I had no clue what I was doing. I first tried to use a product I found at AutoZone that was similar to this but different. Those didn't work at all so I tried these. Such a life saver! I used a heat gun with these, and wow, so quick and easy to install while providing a great connection and hold! My bike looks great, all lights work, and everything has held up well after a month of use. I would definitely buy these again!

I've used other brands of these that work much better but also melt at a higher temp. You have to use a heat gun with these to work the best and the wire needs to be clean for the solder to bond with the wire itself. Strength wise, it's best if you twist the ends of the wires over each other before you slide the sleeve over. This will help keep the strands together better. They will blow out when heating if you seal the ends first because there is no place for the gas to escape when heating that way. The glue bonds pretty well to plastic wire jacketing and gxl jacketing, those are all that I have really used them with. For the price they work decently but I've used better ones. There is minimal flex once they are melted which is what you want otherwise the solder joint will fail and unless you have a crimp sleeve under the wire will eventually pull apart. I keep them on hand because they do work in a pinch but if it's a critical splice then it's best to solder or crimp the splice then use this over or just go with glue lined heat shrink.

Meistens braucht man doch immer nur die gleiche Größe, wo man sich dann überlegen muss, ob man lieber noch einmal mehr von der gleichen Sorte kauft. Works well. First time I tried it I didn't use enough heat, second time I used a more powerfull lighter and it was perfect.
