I was using Micro Flora Plus before I purchased this one. It worked MUCH better than this. In this product's defense, the Micro Flora Plus is a much more complete formula. It has ingredients in it this one doesn't. I myself won't be purchasing this particular item again.

The powder does not have any smell at all. The dogs will sometimes start licking it right off the food before I can get it mixed in!

It's to early to say it this product works. I can give a 5 start in S/H. Got it in time.

I have 2 medium sized rescue dogs. One has a very sturdy health nature. He can eat pretty much anything w/o any allergies or major GI tract issues. He tolerates any allergen he comes into contact with.My other dog is very sensitive. She has seasonal allergies and food sensitivities which result in itchy skin, ear infections, and the occasional GI tract issue. We have to be very careful about what she consumes. We also have to treat her allergies. I have to bathe her with anti-itch shampoo or she will scratch patches of fur off of herself. She also tends to get ear infections when her allergies act up, so I have to keep a close eye on her ears and clean them as needed.Because of the issues with my 1 dog I am very careful about what I feed both dogs. We avoid all common dog allergens if possible. I am also always on the lookout for products that will improve the quality of life for both of my dogs and keep them both in good physical shape.I purchased this probiotic powder hoping that it would help my female dog with her allergies and ear problems, as well as her occasional GI tract issues. I was also hoping it would help keep my male dog's GI tract and immune system healthy.The container was smaller than I was expecting, but that became understandable when I saw the small size of the serving size scoop. Which, I should point out, is probably hidden down in the powder. I had to fish it out the 1st time.I sprinkled the powder right on top of their regular food. My dogs gobbled it down as usual. They seemed to not notice, or just not care, about the powder. I did notice that a little bit of powder fell onto the bottom of the bowls. Neither of my dogs licked it up. So, while it appears that they do not mind it mixed with food, they would have no interest in eating it on it's own.I like that this is powder. It makes it very easy to put on their food. It also saves me from having to get them to swallow a pill. That is not something either of us enjoy, so this is much more convenient to administer.So, far they my dogs are doing well with this. Their BMs are very regular, and their GI tracts seem to be moving along well. My female has not had any ear issues since we started using this powder. Time will tell if there will be long term improvement for her. I am hopeful that this will at least help keep ear infections at bay, and will help prevent itchy skin when seasonal allergies are at their worst. I expect, at the very least, that this will also help keep both dog's GI tracts and immune systems healthy long term.I received this item for a free or reduced rate in exchange for my honest review.

I have a Wheaten Terrier with chronic gastrointestinal issues and she has been on antibiotics frequently lately so I decided to try this probiotic powder to help put good bacteria in her gut. My biggest concern was whether or not she would actually eat the powder because she can be fussy. She gets dry kibble and its typically recommended to put the powder in wet food. I sprinkled a scoop on her dry kibble tonight and she ate the kibble with the powder without hesitating and even licked her bowl. The fact that she likes it is a win in my mind and I like knowing that she gets the healthy benefits of the probiotics!
