This is an amazing knife. Cuts through anything easily and has great weight. Make sure after you use you clean and let it dry well. Otherwise it will begin to allow rust to form on the blade. Long as you maintain it it’s an amazing knife.

This is more a cleaver than a knife, however, it is just what I wanted. Very sharp and easy to handle. It does not fit around bones like a butcher knife would. Slicing steaks for beef stroganoff or fajitas, etc., is easy. You can quickly cut the steak as thin or as thick as you wish. Works great on slicing sausages, such as summer sausage or pepperoni. Strongly recommend care when handling. It is sharp! And wash it well before first use, as there is a thin protective coating on the blade.

The media could not be loaded.  Beautiful Handle, THICK blade with a really cool forged look, full tang with Rivets and not screws - quality construction. The sheath even has some classy accents and features a belt loop so that I can chop meat outside and keep it covered and away from pets or kids. Perfect addition to my set - cant wait to chop up cocnuts!

One wrong move and you are going to the ER. This knife/cleaver came super sharp. Cut through large pork loin like butter. Well worth the price and the steel looks to be hammer-forged. Blade is thick and has a nice heft to it. Overall a great purchase.

I got this on an Amazon lightning sale, I have been looking at this style of knife in the past and thought for under $25 I can take a flyer on it. It is a stout knife with some rough forge marks that appeals to me. The knife is sharp, but it is also heavy. I am concerned about the different statements on the product page and item, the box says it will not corrode, but the product page says it is high carbon steel. Time will tell. If true that this blade is of high manganese steel then that is why some say it is difficult to sharpen.

Wish I could get a picture to show the tip! I will have to take a file or grinder and refinish the knife. Other than that, it is very sharp. Like the thick steel. For the weak wristed, it is not for you!

I use this knife for everything. It slices tomatoes with no problem. It is super.

Ich konnte das Messer jetzt ausgiebig in der heimischen Küche verwenden und möchte mit euch meine unvoreingenommene Meinung teilen.Ergonomie und Bedienung:Ich bin zwar kein Messerexperte, aber koche doch schon ziemlich viel Zuhause und habe auch schon einige Messer verwendet.Bei diesem Messer ist mir beim ersten in die Hand nehmen sofort aufgefallen, wie schwer das Messer ist. Das Messer liegt trotz des Gewichts gut in der Hand, zum Testen der Klinge habe ich erstmal eine Tomate klein geschnitten.Dabei habe ich darauf geachtet, die Scheiben so dünn wie möglich zu schneiden. Beim Schneiden schiebt sich das Messer durch sein Gewicht wie von selbst durch die Tomate.Beim Schneiden liegt der Griff sehr gut in der Hand.Auf den Bildern könnt ihr das Ergebnis meines kleinen Versuchs sehen. Mir persönlich gefällt die Handhabung des Messer sehr gut.Verarbeitung und Qualität:Das Messer ist sehr massiv gebaut und macht dementsprechend einen robusten Eindruck. Der Griff ist sehr stabil und der dicke Stahl macht auf mich den Eindruck, als würde man ihn mit massiver Gewalt nicht verformen können.Das Messer ist wirklich extrem stabil gebaut, ich könnte mir auch eine Verwendung als Buschmesser vorstellen. Die Klinge hatte bei mir an einer Stelle eine ganz kleine Kerbe (< 1 mm).Fazit:Ich kann das Messer empfehlen. Man bekommt ein sehr massives Messer mit einer scharfen Klinge. Die kleine Kerbe stört wegen des guten Preis/Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht.

Das Messer der mir unbekannten Marke mit dem Namen XYJ ist eine richtige Überraschung!Als ich das Messer ausgepackt habe war ich schon positiv vom Gewicht überrascht und der Materialstärke. Das Messer hat ein stolzes Gewicht von 450 Gramm und liegt in meiner großen Männerhand gut in der Hand. Meine Frau kommt damit nicht zurecht und sagt für Frauenhandels ist es zu klobig. Dem kann ich nicht widersprechen.Dadurch das dieses Messer so ein hohes Eigengewicht hat und übrigens sehr scharf ankommt – kann man damit problemlos auch ein Hähnchenknochen durchtrennen.Das Messer schneidet ausgezeichnet; wir haben eine Gemüsepfanne zubereitet und für eine Grillparty Fleisch zugeschnitten, präzise, scharf einfach toll.Da es sich um Karbonstahl handelt würde ich dieses Messer nicht in die Spülmaschine packen, damit macht ihr das Messer kaputt. Auch säurehaltige Dinge solltet ihr damit nicht schneiden, wenn doch sofort direkt kurz nach dem Gebrauch unter fließendem Wasser abspülen. Ich öle meine Messer regelmäßig ein für eine längere Haltbarkeit.Das Messer könnt ihr gut selbst nachschleifen da genug Material vorhanden ist.Ich bin echt mega begeistert von dem Messer und bei dem Preis ist das ein schnapper!Für Frauenhände vielleicht nicht so gut geeignet – aber Männer / Griller werden es lieben!
