Started as a prop
I purchased this pipe mainly as a prop, and it worked just fine for that purpose. When I was done using it as a prop, I decided to try smoking it. After clearing the plugged airway, I was able to smoke my first bowl with no problem. I'm giving this review only 4 stars because of the construction and materials. My main issue is with the finish on the outer bowl and how easily it chips off. I already have 3 significantly visible chips where the lacquer is totally gone. Nevertheless, I will keep using this pipe until it becomes so unsightly, that even I can't stand to look at it. I'm not overly disappointed because the price of the pipe was very reasonable. I've since purchased a Savinelli pipe that I hope holds up to its price which was almost ten times the cost of the pipe reviewed here.

I like this bargain pipe so far, but....
!!!!Update!!!...I removed the metal portion in the stem..and it fits 6mm filters(at least this one did) . Smokes well so far .......I didn't like the fact that this is not a pipe with traditional 6or9mm filters..has a sort of metal piece with a small hole in the side in the place of a filter compartment...so far smokes great...but I fear may be an issue with clogging in the future..The portion from bowl to stem is easy to clean...may be a good candidate for using a replacement stem.

The pipe is really very nice, but not exactly what we were looking for. I'm trying to find one that matches a Baby Ben which is a 4" pipe with a flexible tip like this one.

For a costume its perfect
I used this pipe for a costume, so I can't speak on functionality, I will say its a little heavy. But it came well packaged and looks wise, it fits the description perfectly.
