An excellent kit
This kit includes everything you might need to administer first aid in the event of gunshot or other similar traumatic injury. Fortunately, I've not had to use it, and hopefully I never will, but I'm much happier having it in my collection because I know I'm prepared should such an eventuality arise.Everything included is of high quality. This isn't a cheap knockoff product, so you know that, in the unfortunate event you need to use it, you're not going to be caught with faulty materials. The case itself is both durable and attractive, and I particularly like its "molle" style mounting system, so it's easy to attach to your range bag or bug out bag or backpack or whatever else you might want to attach it to.In terms of the items included, this is very much limited to being a trauma kit. It's not a general purpose first aid kit that happens to also include trauma supplies. As such, I suspect many (perhaps most) people will want to add a few additional items to the kit for treating minor cuts and scrapes or insect bites. Fortunately, though the pack already comes fairly well stuffed with materials, there's enough extra space that you can squeeze in whatever few additional items you might want, as long as you're a bit creative with your packing. The one thing I really wish it included that it does not come with is a first aid guidebook or instruction card. While such an instruction booklet should never substitute for proper first aid training, and I'd encourage all buyers of this product to receive such training from an accredited institution, there's something to be said for the idea that a first aid kit ought to include enough instructions that anyone who passes by and attempts to help can have a chance of using the equipment properly. As such, I'd also encourage you to add some instructions to your pack if you buy it. Because it's so easy to add instructions of your own, though, that doesn't affect my overall enthusiasm about the product.

Best One I've Purchased.....Overall
Surviveware has some quality kits at realistic prices!I have purchased and returned 6-8 different 'trauma' kits through Amazon. My initial thought was spending more money and looking past the entry level kits would result in a quality kit for an emergency. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case.....I then started purchasing different price point kits and looking more closely at the supply list in each. Most of them contained numerous pieces that were useless or made the kit appear to be a better value. The Surviveware kits, including the trauma kit, are higher quality in terms of the bag construction and the items within it. The kit is fairly complete and all I added to it was additional gauze squares and some Quikclot, both items that are optional. As delivered, the kit would greatly aid in an emergency with the items included. A couple of nice items include the CAT tourniquet which is a brand name as well as brand name vented chest seals; most kits include non-vented seals which are better than nothing but have shown to be far less effective. To date, I have bought a couple of other Surviveware items, they aren't the cheapest, but they are quality kits. In addition, the ones I have purchased (Small 1st Aid, Trauma Kit, Waterproof Small 1st Aid) all have room in the bag itself to add some additional items based on your specific needs and adventures.Customer Service is pretty good too - I've both called and emailed them with questions and they were responsive to both - including taking the time to compile a comprehensive listing of differences between the kits.....hopefully that list makes it out to Amazon somewhere to better detail what's in which kit. This was important to me as I didn't want to duplicate a bunch of items as I grow my readiness with various kits.Hope I never need them....but I keep them both with me in my truck so they are accessible.

Amateur Kit
Nice compact bag but many outdated and useless items. Lots of bandaids take up valuable space and dont belong in a trauma kit. Shears are 3/4 size cheap and worthless. Goggles do not belong here, space vampire. Worthless and no longer used “ CPR” kit. Threw much of the contents away and replaced with trauma items, chest seals, tape, extra gauze and wraps, trauma glue, skin stapler, extra TQ. You get the idea. Spend more and get a professional. Kit from North American or Refuge Medical.

Incredible kit, terrific company-HIGHLY reccomended!
As a former EMT in the Los Angeles area, I have experience working on major trauma events and know that seconds matter when a person's life is hanging in the balance. I was looking for a smaller kit that I could keep in my daily driver in case of such an emergency. This is not your ordinary first aid kit with some band aids and a lollipop. This is a serious package that is ready to go right out of the box and can mean the difference between saving someone's life..or not being able to help in a meaningful way. It is well packaged, with a high quality and bright red bag, filled with the essentials to stop the bleeding and protect yourself while doing it. The owners of the company reached out to me just after my purchase to follow up and make sure that I was happy with what I received ( I was very happy!) and they deserve praise for the products and service after the sale. I would happily recommend Surviveware, and their Trauma Kit, for anyone looking for a serious medical kit. I have not received any kind of payment, or promotion for my personal review.

A lot of stuff for the money but I felt like I needed paramedic training. Not a first aid kit for sure. More of a trauma bag.

Tough little pack with mostly bandages for cuts.
The pack is durable and has some nice zippers etc. Can withstand hiking around and tumbling a bit. But its clasp design is not very grab n go friendly since it partially covers the zipper. So in an emergency you might have a hard time. I removed some things I didn't need like the safety goggles and put emergency kit items of my choice. Seems like you could fit a lot in it, probably why the strap is there, to keep it from exploding when overpacked.
