Gets the job done
I had purchased this mount so my Xbox One did not have to rest on top of my cable box.For my Xbox One these are the pros/consPros:1) Easy installation 2) Mount feels secure when Xbox sits on top 3) Black glass blends well with the XboxCons:1) Kinect plugs in the worst spot. Smack in the middle so it bumps into the portion of the mount that is up against the wall.2) Wish the shelf was an inch longer. The Xbox One sits perfectly without the wiring plugged in. When moved forward to prevent the Kinect wire from getting smushed it hangs over a little bit so there looks like theres extra room in the back but there really is not. I had to improvise: I used the two small screw cap covers it came with and used it as little pedestals for the Xbox to sit on so its level with the back ones since the front hangs over a little bit.I am a perfectionist and it bothered me in the beginning but it was cheap and it keeps my Xbox mounted up without seeming shaky.I'm sure with just a regular DVD player this mount size would be perfect.

Good sturdy construction
Good sturdy construction. I would strongly suggest that you fasten to a stud. I was able to get a stud to the left of my electrical receptacle, a stud is always supporting the receptacles. I noticed that you should fasten the top lag screw half way then the bottom screw all the way so the washers can clear the access holes, then middle screw last. Also, if you screw the single screw holding the glass shelve to the brackets too tight you not only risk cracking the glass but the outter edge of the glass will tilt upwards.. The glass won't be that secure but it won't flop around, you could physically move the glass side to side if you pushed with medium force. Note the holes on the Gass itself, one side has a different hole this is so the flat head on the countersunk screw can sit flush with the face of the glass. The glass shelf is big enough for my full size Cox cable box alone on one shelf. I put my wireless router on top so the shelves can be evenly placed. The antenna on the wireless router would be too tall for lower shelves if evenly spaced as I have them. It's a great product that made the corner of my living room seem larger and more spacious with less clutter. Overall I'm very satisfied.. I don't have kids but I would imagine that if the shelf was low enough a kid could move the glass around and therefore risk falling boxes so keep that in mind. My top shelf is about level with the top of my mantel which is about 4ft high.. Hiding the wires in the left and right channels inside the mounting bracket was tedious but manageable. Start to finish took me about 2hrs taking my time, unplugging everything and redoing all the connections in a more efficient manner. I would recommend this product and would definitely buy again when I do the bedroom and study. Though I would probably get the two shelf unit by same manufacturer.

Quite satisfied.
This worked out well for my application. I have it installed under a 42" flat screen tv. The bottom shelf I use for my smartphone docking station as well as keeping remote controls and my wallet. I use the middle shelf for a Sennheiser wireless headphone receiver and the top shelf is for a slim and minimal blue ray player.POSSIBLE HELPFUL TIP:The "cable management" to hide the wires that runs along the sides behind the actual shelves seems fine. But instead of running the wires down toward the electrical outlet I decided to run a powerstrip (with an eight foot cord) from the outlet and up along the post of the wall mount (hidden) and then attached the power strip to the wall behind the television. I then ran up all wires along the cable management post that attaches to the wall and plugged everything behind my tv. This isn't an issue as I have my tv on a swivel bracket that can extend from the wall at least two feet. I used cable ties to neatly coil the wires so that it is all tidy and very organized. Now all you see toward the floor is one simple wire plugged into an outlet instead of a bulky powerstrip with multiple plugs on the floor. It looks so much neater this way and accessing the powerstrip is easy since it's practically at eye level.I almost took off one star because putting this together was a bit tedious. At first I thought I had a mildly defective and unlevel product but eventually just finagling a screw here and there made everything work out. It was a bit frustrating as I have some repair and remodeling experience so this shouldn't be a problem for someone quite familiar with assembling and building things. But now that it's been up for about a month I enjoy this component wall mounted shelf system with no problems. I'd buy it again.

Decent, Serious Design Flaw ( Could be dangerous around a toddler)
I purchased this when I revamped my sons room for his sony blueray player and his playstation. The install was pretty easy after finding a stud in the wall to mount it on. The shelves went together with ease as well. Lets talk about the shelves though. They tend to loosen over time for no apparent reason. I am always checking it and tightening the adjuster screws. I do believe it's just the way it's made. Having a shelf that is completely supported by a central locking mechanism only and is this wide is just simple physics... A push down on the left or right of the glass shelf will, over time, start to loosen the screw. That in itself is a safety issue for me. He is only 10 so if the shelf starts to dump and I am not around , its going to be bad. It may hurt my son and /or even damage the expensive electronics that sit on it. He has learned to be very gentle with it when changing out Blue rays or Game discs but Imagine a toddler doing the same...Not good, folks. I have had no other issues than that. It has been in his room for almost a year now and its fine. Just DO NOT throw away the allen wrench because you will need it again. If I had to pick another shelf for his room I honestly would shop around some more. Basically, it does its job but I wouldn't buy another one.Thank you for reading and I do hope this review will help someone. Be Safe & Happy Shopping!!

sturdiness
Unless you can mount this on a wall stud, forget it. It's utter and complete garbage. Unfortunately, the studs on my wall were too close to the stereo cabinet and with limited space in my room to manoeuver, I was unable to screw the mount onto the stud. So I have to mount it on the drywall with the "anchors" provided. The "anchors" (what anchors ??) are a joke. They don't even expend enough to hold the screws. I tried to unscrew them and the "anchors" disappeared into the holes instead of gripping on to the screws. I'm not a novice in putting shelves and other objects on walls, but this is insane. The quality is crap, the shelves wobble and I'm hoping that my gadget will not fall off the wall, after fighting with it for two hours or more. Lesson learned...always believe in other one star reviews instead of thinking I would luck out somehow!

Shelves are smaller than advertised
The first one I got came in a beat up box with broken parts inside. I submitted an exchange but apparently shouldn’t have bothered, I specifically bought this unit because the Amazon page states the shelves are 11x15; in actuality they’re closer to 9 3/4 by 14 1/8th so will be returning them both as it doesn’t fit my needs. If you can live with the misrepresented shelf size this unit seems comparable to other similar styles of shelving, some metal, some plastic, tempered shelves etc

The lesser the weight the safer the outcome.
This shelf is good for items that weigh 15lbs or less.. I tried to fit my Synology Server that weighs 22lbs and it was way too heavy to trust my $5990+ Nas investment & was too heavy and not want to take the chance of it holding this weight that's held up with 2 small screws. So I strongly advise to only place objects that are 15lbs or less should be ok, anything else not worth the chance as everything is held up with 2 screws only...so for those who want to use a projector or ps3-4 or any xbox you will have no issues holding them with ease. All heavier items should be avoided and make sure you screw the unit into a stud and you will be fine, it's a great product and design is nice too.

Shelf retaining screw not long enough
Need the company to contact me. The rubber glass pads (Fx4) are too high so when you try to affix the shelf the retaining screw (gx1(M5)) is too short and you can not tighten it down. Maybe I have the wrong pads or something. Also instruction 2 shows the finished flange (E1) on the wrong side of glass holder (Bx1)
