Great Instructions.
Used this to assist to replace the coolant in my Suzuki Boulevard C50. Followed instructions and used with the Evans coolant Ec72064 and the pre-flush fluid they have.

I used them to test my coolant fluid and it came back as a bad conversion to the Evans Coolant
I purchased this along with the Evans Coolant. I didn't actually use the item for 30 days afte er I received it. Upon putting the coolant in car I got the test kit out of bag and discovered that the strips had an expiration date of 10/2015. They were over 6 months out of date! I used them to test my coolant fluid and it came back as a bad conversion to the Evans Coolant. I called Evans Coolant, Inc. and they are telling me that a bunch of bad test kits were packaged and sold. They were testing samples at their lab for free if I wanted to send it in. This worked fine for this coolant conversion but I have 2 more vehicles to convert over. I will now be forced to purchase another test kit for next conversion and hope that it comes with up to date test strips. When trying to return this defective test kit to Amazon they are telling me that it is outside the return window. Go Figure!Coolant does work great though.

I bought mainly for the stickers, but thought the strips might be useful. Date code showed they were expired and an attempt at using them proved they are not a proper means of determining if your conversion was successful. Spend the money and buy a refractometer. The time and effort to drain, flush, drain, and fill again is worth investing in the refractometer to make sure it's done correctly. Shop around, the refractometers aren't that much more money than this "system".

Is what it is

The test strips didn't work. After completing the conversion to EVANs waterless coolant ( i used the prep fluid and followed the step by step instruction exactly ) I used the kit to verify <3% water in the system but there was no color change. I thought I still had water in my system so I drained the two gallons of evans waterless coolant and put another two gallons of prep fluid in . I ran the car until the fans cycled twice and let it cool. I then drained and filled with another two gallons of waterless coolant and tried the strips on a sample. NO color change again... I took the final strip and dipped it into a small amount of coolant right from the bottle and again no color change. So because of these faulty strips I spent 80$ more on coolant and flush than needed.
