I got these for my 10-year old granddaughter who is learning to cook. They give her excellent protection--they almost reach her elbows--and I know from using them myself that they're excellent for keeping out the heat. They aren't terribly pliable, so she had some challenges at first with removing a cookie sheet from the hot oven, but after several times at it, she managed fine. The main thing is, she's not getting burned.

This is the first set of oven mitts I've ever used that are all silicone on the outside - very interesting concept! While they do function great and I appreciate the sizing for more petite hands (even my husband's slightly larger hands still fit inside the smaller size just fine) where these fall short for me a little is the ability to really flex the thumb portion of the mitt when trying to grasp a sheet pan from the oven. Since silicone isn't that flexible, it's not as giving as an all cotton mitt with a rubber/silicone coating on just the hand part. The length is good though, I've never had a mitt that went up almost to my elbow! Overall, still a good purchase, because with the heavy amount of baking that I do, these will last longer than cotton ones.

These are wonderful mitts. I just received them & they're already my favs. They stand up to high heat & I love that they can be used on either hand. Plus, the longer length is very useful--no more burnt arms! As pointed out by other reviewers, they do run large. I'm a petite female w/small hands & have had problems finding a silicone mitt that fits, so was happy to see these came in a smaller size. I ordered the small/medium/youth size & am very glad I did. Even the smaller size is a bit large on me, although I'm able to use them effectively. They're comfortable, well-made & reasonably priced. I'm sure I'll be using these for yrs. to come.

I purchased the small/youth size and they are great. My 12 year old wanted some that fit him better than the adult size and frankly the standard adult size are too big for use as well. I am very happy with these. You can easily wash them and put them away.I give 4 stars because the upper arm part feels tighter due to the cloth inside but they still fit.Hope this was a helpful review for you

Glad we ordered the small size. Not a perfect fit but it works well enough for the girls in my household. Definitely too small for hubby. My only complaint is it feels like they start to slide off when I bend my hand in them. I personally prefer the comfort of the ove gloves but these seem to withstand the heat for longer and I’m glad I won’t burn myself if hot liquid touches them.

These oven mitts work extremely well against heat. I am petite; therefore, I was glad to see different size options. I specifically ordered the smaller size but the mitts were still too big. Sigh...

I either unknowingly ordered the wrong size or was sent the wrong size, so be careful. I will have to return as they do not fit a man's large hand and are too snug even for a large hand woman. Because of the lining and silicone construction you need more room to bend your hand to grip. The quality is good so I still give it 3 stars and only hope the return/ replace process is positive.

We love these oven mitts. We've used them for the oven, high heat grill (600 degrees hot), boiling hot pot, and felt very safe and no heat transfer. I especially love how they come up further on your arms and protect you from accidental arm bumps on the edges of your oven. It's a nice touch. I would definitely buy these again. But yes, I agree with other reviewers, unless your hands are the size of Michael Jordan, the small size is perfect and snug. They're comfortable on both mine and my fiancés hands.
