Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls: The Chapter Book Collection

A beautiful and inspirational set of books
It is brilliant that the 'Goodnight Stories' books, which have become so popular, have now expanded into a set of chapter books. Whilst the original title offered fantastic insights into the lives and stories of inspirational females, this set of books is great for more advanced readers who want to know more! The artwork is beautiful, in a contemporary style which really appeals. There are also great details added into these books: each chapter is followed by an 'afterword', which adds some context to each of the stories, and then an 'activities' section so that you can have a go at something practical linked to each of the stories.Overall, this is a really inspiring set of books which would make for great reading for people of all ages, and would also be an awesome gift.

Fantastic read for International Women's Day!
I've enjoyed the other books in this series, and was looking forward to reading this too! These books are great for girls who want to dig deeper, and use of fictionalisation helps to keep this fresh. and interesting. The breadth of women included spans different times in history, race, types of achievement and geography, and as such is inspiring in many different ways.

Rebel Girls have done it again!
RebelGirls have done it again by bringing together several of the chapter books about influential women throughout history in the form of πΊπππ πππβπ‘ ππ‘πππππ πππ π ππππ πΊππππ - πβπ πΆβπππ‘ππ π΅πππ π΅ππ₯ πππ‘.These stories are insightful and educational and whilst yes, they are designed to encourage girls to know that anything they strive for is possible? They are perfect for anyone of any gender to read and to learn something about not only the women featured but themselves. The artwork is bright and eye-catching and done by female digital artists from around the world- as are the authors of each book. The artwork done to highlight the beginning of each chapter features objects and details associated with whomever is featured. These belong in every school, and if my children were younger I would have happily had them on their bookshelves. They are fantastic and the mission Rebel Girls is on is one to be admired.I wonder if some point there might be similar books done about those of other genders to provide insight and hope in our future generations? I hope so because books such as these are an incredible idea in how they are written, illustrated and published.Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher (RebelGirls through Hachette books) for my advanced copy of this boxset.
