Shield was purchased to protect new furniture which is bigger and much closer to the wood burning stove. Cannot use the stove without some sort of heat dissipation. Furniture and computer stay cool even when the stove is very hot. This shield will probably solve the problem you have like stove too close to wall or combustible materials, etc. It is very well constructed and worth the price.

Terrific! My old wood burning stove is too close to the walls and I was fearful of them getting to hot. This little puppy is sturdy and has put my mind at rest.

This is GREAT. The wall behind the stove and metal blinds on the sliding glass door near the stove are cool as a cucumber!! It saved me having to build a wall with cement board and stone. I don't even think it looks bad behind the stove. Kind of rustic. The fire Marshall was VERY impressed with it. He even took the company's name if others needed advice on what to use. I do wish they had different sizes. I may have bought one a little larger......but this size worked just fine for me. My stove isn't very large. It is a cast iron jotul that heats 1200 square feet.

Works great to keep the windows right next to the wood burning stove cool. I love the fact that it is light and easy to store when summer gets here.

Haven't put it in service yet, put it's a perfect fit for the wood-pellet stove, when I install it later this year!

It really does keep the wall behind our stove from getting hot, and is so much less expensive than alternatives.

I'm not going to say this is a designer product. It is simple, black, and appears in person exactly as it does in the product picture here. We have a nice log home but I found that the logs behind the stove became too hot for my comfort level when the fire is burning aggressively. The stove is 10 years old and changing it out for a new one (to decrease clearance needs and heat sent to walls) was quoted at over $3,500! Instead, I found this shield. It was delivered in a timely manner, well packaged, no damage. I find it to be of medium thickness, not flimsy but not a 100 pound piece of steel either. It is adequate, stands well on its own, and, most of all... the wall is cool behind it! I wouldn't call it ugly, it's just basic... but it does a great job and for all I can see will last years. Great investment.
