It looks plastic in the picture but it is metal.
I don't know what the difference is between one with a hole cutter in the center and this one. I got this because I do bake rolls and such when we run out of bread and can't get to the store. I'm still looking for a good Kaiser roll recipe. I don't think I'm going to stop looking so I decided to get this instead of rolling the dough out and twirling it or cutting the top with a knife. They do look more like Kaiser rolls but I still don't have the right recipe.

Metal stamp that works well
A sharp metal stamp that worked much better than a plastic cutter, though of course is over twice the price.
