This light works well and allows you to choose between cold and warm light color but, besides that, only has one setting: it stays on all night on a dim setting and gets brighter if it detects motion. The description however speaks of different settings, but that is false. I have bought 12 of these lights to place on my fence and I tried to change the settings so that the lights would not get brighter when detecting motion, but its not possible.

I looked for a *long* time through the vague-specs-and-shill-review infested landscape to find something like these at a reasonable price. I wanted to replace several functional, but annoying, existing solar lights that had a harsh blue light and that would activate if cars passed by even 50 feet away. In addition, I wanted warm white lights that also stayed on at a low level all the time, but also got brighter when motion was sensed nearby. The design of these fit the bill perfectly and they are working fine. The ambient light is dim warm white, just enough for landscape lighting; and increases quite a bit when motion is detected about 5-10 feet away. Some of the reviews had indicated problems with batteries coming loose, but not the case so far with my pair... I'll update this review if that occurs.

Just wasn,t bright enough for me. Kept as an accent for stairs.

I was looking for an easy to install solar light, because I was attaching it to a window. The sticky pad that came with the package held for a few days but couldn't withstand the heat. I moved here in June, and by the time I ordered this light it was 2 months (going on 3 now) of days over 110 degrees. I bought heat resistance padded sticky tape and used that and no more problem. Great light, now I can see my way to put out the trash when it's still dark in the mornings. Very happy with this choice.

We searched high and low for these lights as they were the only ones we could find that had the warm yellow glow. All of the other ones we tried were bright white which we felt was a little too harsh for a nice ambience in our backyard. The motion detection is really great, it picks up from quite a distance. The only downside is it doesn’t cast light as far as the white ones did but for the color of light we wanted, we were willing to deal with that.

Light stays on all night(dimmed) once motion detector activated. Do not like that feature.

Only problem on 1 of the units, the internal battery was loose. It rattled inside

Works great! Love having a soft white spotlight. It’s on always but dimmed until someone walks past. I’m buying another!
