24V, 50/60 Hz, 5 Watt, 6/5 RPM Replacement Motor For Honeywell 802360JA

I bought this motor to replace a bad one in my zone valve. Interestingly, I have a White-Rodgers Type 13S16 zone valve, and although this is not advertised as a replacement, the specifications are close enough and the mounting holes are exactly the same, so it worked. Also, this motor was a lot cheaper than any motor listed for the a White-Rodgers valve. The original motor in the zone valve lasted about 10 years (a second zone valve is still OK). Since I just installed this a couple of months ago, I can't comment on the durability.Update January 29, 2018. This motor failed after less than 1 year. This was used on a zone valve for a single family home, so it didn't get much use. Test meter shows an open circuit, so the internal windings failed. I changed my rating to 1 star as a result.

I have more issues to work on besides these motors so I can't really rate these until everything is finished.

i used these motors to replace motors that operate the zone valves in my hot water baseboard heating system. i had previously purchased motors locally at a little less than twice the price of these. the locally sourced motors would last about 30 days before the pinion gear shaft would fatigue and twist off. these "aftermarket" motors have a bushing under the pinion which allows deeper engagement of the pinion with the mating sector gear in the zone valve mechanism. this apparently reduces stress in the pinion shaft, because these motors have lasted a minimum of 60 days with no sign of failure. i'm unable to rate higher only because i can't predict ultimate life at this time. however, i would buy again.
