Use large enough piece of the wadding.
Works as described. Easy to use, but did have to make sure to tear off a large enough piece to avoid shredding.

Brass cleaning
I’m currently using it on my brass mailbox , it’s weathered pretty bad so it’s gonna take more than one session of cleaning , maybe two or three

Not The Same As Original
Still works but not the same as original Brasso wool batting polish. The can is much smaller, smaller than a regular can of soup! And the batting seems to disintegrate where the old, if not too black from tarnish, could be reused. Also seems to be a little less effective than the polish I have used over the past 20+years. Will check antique markets to see if the old style/formula is still out there.Removed tarnish and polished well..just not as good as it did in the past.

Amazing product
We use this product for bronze and it’s amazing. Leaves it like brand new.

Small can, tight lid, but works
Container was a lot smaller than I expected. The metal lid was very difficult to get off. However, after twenty years in the Navy, Brasso does what what it's supposed to.

Works great- can of saturated wadding
I don’t know what I was thinking- I thought this would be a can of cream Brasso with wadding. But it’s a can full of saturated wadding. You just pull it out and tear off a chunk to use for your polishing needs. It works great! I have a sink in my powder room (put in by a previous owner who, apparently, loved brass!! 🙄). I don’t have the heart to remove it. It does have “a look”. Anyway, this sink needs to be polished every time someone uses it to wash their hands, causing to to be water spotted. I pull out a couple inches of the wadding and rub down my sink. It polishes it right up (with a final buff to remove the residue) and it’s nice to not have to find a cloth to sacrifice to Brasso in addition to the final polishing cloth. When it’s a light job I can even put the used wadding back into the can for future use. Even though it’s not exactly what I thought it would be, I really like it and will get this form in the future. Take it from the daughter of a Marine, a person very committed to shiny brass! Brasso is, in my opinion, the best for polishing brass.

Useless>>
This was awful!! Could not open tin, had to get help, then when seeing the product inside it looked old! When I tried to use, it felt apart in my hands. I have used this product and it did not not fall apart. I think this was either very, very old or had been stored for ever.!!!!
