Ordered the blue tint for our sliding glass doors. There is enough to cover both sides with an inch or two excess on all sides. Installation was tricky and is best done with 2 persons. The hardest part was cutting to dimensions as you need a large flat surface and the protective plastic film on the reflective side is thick and wants to re-roll. (Ruler markings on the protective plastic side would have been helpful).The reflective side goes on the glass. We had to spray the glass with water, place the film in position while pulling off the protective film all at the same time. (Be liberal with the water). Use a wet squeegee or rag for bubbles. (Don't sweat the tiny bubbles!) The film can be removed anytime with no damage to the glass.The film adheres well, even at the corners. The blue tint has a cooling effect indoors. The reflective side provides privacy, protection against indirect radiant energy, and reduces glare. We love this product and the effort to install it was worth it.

We bought this for our arched window above our door. The only thing that made install hard was we had to use really tall ladders. I am also glad I ended up getting the silver rather than the silver black. I can’t tell you how long it took me to pick a color because while i wanted it dark, I still wanted to be able to see out my window, even at night. The silver is still pretty dark (to me) but you can still see out. I would not have been happy with a darker tint.We got this because I don’t want to put shutters on this window. I have shutters throughout my house except the window over my door and the windows on my door. Unfortunately summers are hot on the second story. This window heats up the house tremendously. Since putting on this tint it has dramatically decreased the heat in our house. We used to get bright light in our room from this window by our bedroom door and now I can’t tell if it’s morning or afternoon because there are no light rays in my room any more. I’m not complaining. I’m just shocked and amazed at the difference. It’s wonderful and makes me wonder why it took so long for us to do this.Side note, we couldn’t find a tint large enough for this window. We ended up using 2 pieces and putting them side by side. I’m happy that while you can tell there is a line, it’s not super noticeable. This note is just in case someone else wants to save money and buy this cheaper sheet rather than buying one that fits your window exactly. Granted, if this was on a ground floor that people would see close up, I would definitely pay more for a larger sheet.

UPDATE:It's SUMMER in the desert and I put a leftover film on a small window in my house that's facing east and it worked great! The temp before placing was 105 degrees and after was down to 97! Works really well and I think I could live with the small imperfections rather than the heat! Hopefully helps with our electric bills!I tried to install this with windex and it didn't work great. I used plain water. It makes the room darker and I suggest to place it in a very sunny room that gets hot! It is thick and good quality. Hopefully it lasts! The cons: it clings to each other when wet. I accidentally pinched the film and it left a mark and would not come off. Installation is not that hard. It is not so sheer and leaves the windows kinda blurry. There's small bubbles that I couldn't get out. I used a padded squeegee and it scratched the film still. It made the room cooler as it gets direct sunlight in the all day!

By far, the easiest Window Tint Film I have worked with.Great quality material.The material is thick enough, not thin & flimsy, it won't stick to itself when you peel the film which will cause unnecessary "crease" on the film or worse make it completely un-useable. Another main thing is it is easy to apply. Just make sure you spray the window & the film with enough water (for easy alignment), then squeeze out the bubble, & let it dry.If you don't spray the film (just the window - I tried both method)I found that it sticks better, but a tad bit harder to align. The result is the same, just a little faster than wetting both surface.Overall, totally satisfied with the product material & Quality, but as for function - uv blocker & cooler room, I'll update my review after a few days. But, So far so good - room seems cooler.

Found this easy to apply but keeping it free from airborne particles before getting it on difficult no matter how careful one is...

So it has definitely kept the morning sun out of 1 room, but it looks pretty lousy with bubbles - I think these are unavoidable. Its easy to fit once you cut it. Instructions are fairly idiot proof .

Got this to stop a very nosey neighbour from looking into my bedroom whilst I take a nap during the day. Very effective and look great from the outside.Instructions are scarce and it takes patience.Some tips.1. Don’t worry too much about the size to cut. Just make sure the film is larger that the window you are going to fit it onto. It’s very easy to trim any excess film after it’s fitted to the window.2. Use a table to measure and cut. Trying to do this on a floor will attract a lot of dust particles etc.3. Make sure the window is very clean before applying the film.4. Maybe use distilled water to moisten the window rather than tap water if you live in a limescale area. Also don’t use a sponge to apply the water, use a spray bottle for even water distribution.5. Use a squeegee to squeeze out the water after fitting but wrap the squeegees rubber blade in a soft cloth to stop the squeegee rubber blade from scratching the surface of the film.6. Yes, if you make a mistake it can be removed and reapplied.7. After about a week, the film becomes more clear and less cloudy on the windows giving a nice look from inside also.I’m now looking for other places to use this film. Just love the way it looks on my windows.
