Dont let the low stars or reviews fool you; I bought this taking a chance for the wife's Original Surface Book, and It does NOT disappoint!! Connects perfectly, charges like a BEAST (I got the dedicated GPU version, so it has 2 separate batteries [one in screen and in base], and it charges both quickly and efficiently!!) I think the cord is even longer than the stock charger. Its so good, Im jealous of both the charging speed and length for my Surface Pro 6 (like, Im eyeing buying 2 more for myself!) Long story short, Get it!! I think now Ive had this charger for almost a year, and it works swimmingly!!
