Complicated feelings
I'm not sure how I feel about this book. In the addicted series, I loved Ryke and I loved Daisy but I am not a fan of them together. I think it's all down to the age gap. I usually don't mind an age gap romance, but Daisy's age really weirds me out. Daisy and Ryke had a flirt relationship for years starting from when she was 15 and he was in his 20's. It's a bit gross, so when this book came along I just couldn't get into their romance. I was 100% on Lo's side. I really wanted to like this, but I just couldn't. Also, Ryke spent most of the book saying how he loved his brother and wouldn't do anything to harm him. But then goes after his brother's girls sister who is underage whom he was banned from dating. Bad move, Ryke.

Ryke has to be the perfect character in all these books (until Moffy and Farrow come along)
=Oh my gosh. How many different reasons are there to love Ryke Meadows? He has the most amazing, genuine friendship with Daisy. He has incredible self-restraint. He acts like an azz sometimes, but actually puts other people's feelings and interests before his own. He's introspective about things, he's f-ing hot (look at that cover!) AND to top it off, he's a hero.Daisy has had a rough time and it's delightful as a reader to see her finally get a shot at freedom. And to explore that freedom (the open road and Ryke!) with this guy is a dream come true. The banter between these two is pretty charming, and mysteries from the past kept me riveted. There were a lot of things in this book that did bug me and took me out of the story. The excessive use of the word 'engrained.' Ingrained is the typical spelling and it shouldn't be used so many times in one book. Also, Daisy leans against the gas TANK, not the gas CAN. Ryke runs the washcloth under the FAUCET, not under the SINK. These are the sorts of mistakes that I haven't encountered in any of the books by these authors yet, so I was not only bugged by them but I was surprised.Even though there were those small annoyances, the story overall has been so enjoyable. It is the first series where I have actually used the Whispersync and gone back and forth between reading and listening. I've enjoyed the books and audio very much and I know I will be re-reading / re-listening to these again.

I JUST LOVE THIS SERIES
Coming from someone who never reads NA and rarely reads YA, I was so surprised when I read the first book of this series and LOVED IT. I'm obsessed now. I'm trying to go through this series slowly because I don't want it to end, but it's hard to stop because I need to know what happens next.First, I love the characters. I'm a character-driven reader and the authors know how to write different characters with different personalities. You know when you read a book with two POVs but they feel exactly the same? Well, that doesn't happen here, thank God. Daisy and Ryke have distinct voices and they still make a perfect couple. They're so different from me and I still love them - I love all the characters, all the couples. They are complex and they live complicated lives, and I never feel like the drama is too much. I understand their actions and I don't feel like they had an odd reaction that doesn't fit their personality or background. Sometimes authors completely change a character out of nowhere to solve a plot issue (like a love triangle) and to very clearly make the reader love or hate that character, which I absolutely cannot stand, but that doesn't happen here either (uhul!).Second, these novels go beyond a surface level love story with sex - it touches so many important topics, like alcoholism, sex addiction, trauma, family etc. The authors address these problems in such a delicate, non-problematic way. And I'm the type of reader who does find many problematic things in books. But not in these ones. And it never feels like they're making an effort to be "politically correct" (God, I hate this term). Everything happens so naturally, it's hard to believe these characters don't exist in real life. It's just amazing, all of it.

BEST ROMANCE BOOKS EVER!!!
FIVE BEAUTIFUL EMOTIONAL STARS!!!!✔️ Friends to Lovers✔️ Age Gap✔️ Strong Chemistry✔️ Emotional✔️ Character Development✔️ Everything we hoped!Ryke and Daisy stoled my heart! They are my everything!!I've been dying for this book since they were teased in Ricochet and god did I fall in love even more with the both of them. This book wasn't what I expected, in fact it was better than what I imagined.Ryke and Daisy own me.Ryke and Daisy are both known to be high risk takers and they love the free wild. Their connection is strong and so vibrant. But even with their feelings for each other it is still at risk for them to be together. With seven years apart and Loren breathing down Ryke's neck they know they can't be together and if so it has to be done in secret. This book is thick and it is needed to be that way. Both characters are suffering from something in their past and are trying to face on while navigating their famous status. The chemistry between Daisy and Ryke is explosive. The love they have for one another is beautiful and the angst in this book is burning. I loved every second of it and didn't want it to end. I'm already counting down for their next book to come because they have my heart and I love them! The ending was shocking and I'm excited to see for what's to come between all of them.I'm in love with this series and will read it again because it's one for the ages!

YES!
Ryke and Daisy have my whole heart. I haven't shipped a couple like I ship them in SOOOO very long. They have a wonderful dynamic and I love how Ryke only ever lifts Daisy up. There are a lot of alpha males in NA and they tend to lean towards misogynistic and possessive. None of KB's male leads are like that. Ryke is SUCH an alpha male, but his support and love for Daisy even when they are just friends had me in such awe of his kindness. and Daisy, good god this poor girl. Everything she went through broke my heart in a million pieces, but to see her come out of it and be so strong. A+++ writing and character development. A must read!!!!

My *thoughts*
I have *Temporarily put 4 stars for this book*, for the sole reason of having finished it JUST last night, and I usually need to sit with the book after to assess my thoughts in hindsight. But at a prima facie level, I would give it 4 stars. I WOULD have given it 5 stars, if Lo's reaction to Daisy's and Ryke's relationship was a LITTLE less predictable. That was the anticipated climax of the book and the fact that I predicted it was, alright (*shrug* but still iconic!).I like many other fans, was not a real fan of Ryke's character in the first couple books. I found him annoying in his arrogance and when cross comparing to Connor found that he lacked that charm that would leave a feeling of slight... well... suspense. But BOY was I wrong. The onion layers slowly started to peel off in this book and I as a self-flagellating connoisseur, I LOVE to be proven wrong by authors. I still feel like there is something missing, regardless of having finished the book, about Ryke's character. SOMETHING doesn't add up. I know he is obviously hiding a lot, but I think there is more to his issue with his father than what was told on the face of it.Aside from character assessment, I found his care-taking of Daisy beyond wholesome and adorable. They are both compatible in their way of coping family issues, and I am glad that they found each other to feel less alone when facing their inner turmoils. That's it for now. I g2g pick up rock climbing now and find my own personal brooding rock-climber and fellow early morning sympathiser.

Truly Fabulous Book & Series!!!!
This was the much anticipated next story in the Calloway Sister’s series, a spin off from Krista & Becca’s Addicted series. If you haven’t read the Addicted series you really should. These books are some of the best written on the market. They draw you into the story-line with amazing characters, emotional scenes, and a depth to the overall novel which is way beyond many books available at the moment. These are not short books but you can’t help but cry when they finish and you just want more!Hothouse Flower tells Ryke and Daisy’s story, the two fifth wheels in their family’s relationship. Lo & Lily and Connor & Rose are still present throughout this story and add to the emotional rollercoaster that you are taken on by Ryke and Daisy as they try to resist their feelings for one another whilst under the scrutiny of their family.Daisy, now 18, is still struggling to come to terms with the intruder in her home but it is Ryke and not her sisters who she turns to for support. Ryke, despite his foul mouth, is sweet and tender towards Daisy but has resisted his feelings towards her, until now. Ryke is under pressure not to act on his feelings though and is continually warned by Lo to keep away from Daisy, his girlfriend’s little sister.I love Daisy’s personality and don’t give a damn attitude. She lives life to the full even if it results in her life being put in danger, repeatedly. Combine that with Ryke’s desperation to protect her and you have an amazing story which pulls on your heart strings.***“You’re a hothouse flower,” I tell her. “You can’t grow under natural conditions. You need adventure. And security and love in order to stay alive.”***Ryke and Daisy throughout the book face ups and downs whilst all the time just wanting to be together, alone, and without the pressure of their family and paparazzi bearing down on them.I’ve never met such a dysfunctional group of characters who work so well together. Lily and her sex addiction, Lo and his alcoholism, Rose and her OCD and Connor with his holier than thou attitude. I love the bickering between Rose and Lo and their sparring never gets old. It’s these dominating personalities though which are Daisy’s downfall and over the last few years her life has slowly spiralled out of control and without Ryke at her side she would have fallen and been forgotten.***“No restraints. One-hundred-and-fifty miles per hour. You and me, sweetheart.”***I loved the ending to the story, it has a HEA with no cliffie in sight, but sets the scene nicely for more of these loveable characters.Reviewed on behalf of Jezabell Girl & Friends

I freaking love you so damn much Raisy!!
I swear, Krista and Becca never fails to amaze me in every single one of their books.I can never EVER get tired of this series. I love every single thing that happens and I just love the whole world that is set up in this series. In Ricochet, we get to have a little Ryke and Daisy time, and from then on, I have been constantly screaming and yelling about how much I need more of them together. And I've read the damn book a good freaking year ago.So here we are, a Ryke and Daisy story. In Hothouse Flower, Daisy is all grown up. She's 18 and she has problems. And one of them, is Ryke Meadows. I seriously cannot get enough of them together. Their chemistry, their image, their constant banter about helping each other and helping their family. Sometimes, I seriously just want to slap them both in the face and scream "BE TOGETHER ALREADY!" but then if I did, we wouldn't be able to see who they really are.I love how the whole Hale and Calloway family is messed up. Like a freaking beautiful disaster (I can't drop the f-bomb, you see, so I'm sticking with 'freaking'). I love the way Ryke wants to protect Daisy from her troubles, and how Daisy would think about everything else except herself. I love the fact that she's not selfish, and I love the fact that Ryke is 7 years older than her.Now that might have just sounded really weird, but it's true. Throughout the whole series, we get to see how Loren gives Ryke s*** about their age difference, and that is probably one of the main problems (at first) in their relationship. But then they moved on from that and I'm just sitting there with a satisfied grin on my face. Can I tell you another thing I love? I love the freaking dirty talks. I love how they would flirt without even knowing they're doing it, and whenever they do, they make me laugh out loud or at least smile to myself.I seriously need more Raisy in my life, I need more of their dirty talk. Whatever K&B Ritchie has in store next, I'm diving headfirst underwater just because I love them so freaking damn much.

The Best!
I have just found a new favourite book! I could not wait to read this book and it exceeded my expectations. For me Daisy and Ryke always stole the scenes in the Addicted series and "Kiss The Sky". This book did the characters justice. So many twists and turns, keeping the readers emotions involved. I laughed and almost cried! Amazing does not even cover it. Please read this book! Spread the word. These writers deserve recognition. The characters in this series are larger than life. I just love it. No flaws. Total perfection!

This is one of the best series of books I have ever read and I read a lot!The Calloway sisters are all so different and each of their stories is unigue but fits so well into the flow of the series. This is Daisy's story. The writing is superb and the storyline kept my attention all the way to the end. I can't wait for more from these exceptionally talented writers.
