The ghost of Errol Flynn and the first waves of success fueled Australian Crawl's second album. Sirocco was Flynn's yacht and Reyne made sure the Flynn-isms didn't end there, penning the racy homage Errol into the bargain. Recorded and inebriated in Hawaii, Sirocco's other handsome rogues included Things Don't Seem, Oh No Not You Again and Lakeside. The Crawl's first Number One album.

Padding and Kickers
Like most commercially-harnessed music, each record contains 1-3 good songs. The rest of the record is padded with filler mediocrity. On this record you can find two fabulous kickers. One listen will tell you what they are. No chance of confusion. I take it this is done by the industry to stretch the product. A band can have ten good songs and 50 "so-so" ones. The studio will take the ten good songs and string them out over several records in order to make more money. Instead of putting all ten "good" songs on one record and rejecting the other 50 that are not worth a listen. See how it works? This band has great potential with a vocalist whose vibrato is haunting. On this record sometimes you get it. Sometimes you don't.

Aussie Crawl are local heroes probably because of their particular take on Australia of the late 70's and early 80's they are deeper than their model looks would suggest.
