Tritium 417 Cammenga Official US Military Lensatic Compass - OD Green

The compass was received in good condition. In looking at in the dark I thought it a bit dim for a Tritium compass... Upon inspecting the date of manufacture stamped inside, I discovered that it was 10/07/77!... 33 years old! Cammenga, the manufacturer, clearly states on their website that the expected life of the Tritium in this compass is 10 years! They sell new ones direct for $7.00 more. This was not a good buy. It is way over priced for a 33 year old compass.

very strong built and with nice night visibility with tritium light. Very accurate measures.

If there is any tritium in these compass' it's 45+ years old and doesn't work.I just noticed that the "Brand" is tritium, not that there is any tritium contained in the compass.Do not buy one of these thinking you're getting a compass with tritium in it.
