Learned about these loud creatures
I did not know that bullfrogs hibernated in winter and that they could breathe through their skin during that process as they lay on the bottom of a pond. I purchased this book for my grandson, but I learned as much as he did. He loved picture of the big frogs, and he sat very still as he listened to me read. This is yet another winner by David L. Harrison, who makes nature and science accessible to all ages. :)

Beautiful book!
My 3 year old son received this book as a gift. He has been picking it to read every night before bed. He loves leaning in close to look at the beautiful and whimsical illustrations and helping to make the "ruuuuuum ruuuuuum ruuuuum" sounds. I hope there is more to come from this team in the children's biological genre!

Read it, love it, share it!
While reading this book, it was easy to imagine myself sitting at the edge of a pond watching the bullfrog's life cycle take place before my eyes. The illustrations are playful and captivating, with lots of action. I can hardly wait to share this book with students when school resumes this fall! They'll love it, I'm sure!
