B1370738 - Goodman OEM Replacement Blower Motor Relay

Needed this oem part

Along with a new sequencer and my 25 y.o. furnace is chugging along.

Received quickly. My husband had our HVAC system working properly in less than 30 minutes. Our fan kept running constantly. Crazy high electric bill. Now we should be back to regular electric bill

Problem: Handler fan not always coming on with A/C.This item an exact PN replacement for what was in the unit (over 30 years old). Replacing it a bit of a bother as it's mounted UPside down inside the unit...but that has nothing to do with this actual part.Here's the rub. The existing part is held with two sheet metal screws through the relay mounting plate. The NEW unit has ONE screw hole and a bit of a hook designed to fit into a hole. That's fine, except the mounting plate the relay is on is NOT THE SAME SIZE as the plate I took out. It is considerably smaller. The 'tab' will not fit into one of the two holes AND have the other screw-hole match with the existing pattern.You could grind off the copper rivets, swap plates. I have only standard pop rivets and did not want to chance breaking the relay body. You could drill a new hole to fit the new plate. I chose to mount using only one screw...and us some auto-body double sided tape. It's probably not going anywhere.I would much prefer that the plates between the old/new matched, but it is really not reasonable to expect that to happen when dealing with a 30+ year old unit.Result: Relay works as it should. Handler fan on/off is considerably faster than the old relay...likely a time/age issue.I'm glad it worked, would prefer it fit as a 'replacement'.

Was very happy to find this relay for a Goodman air conditioning system that was no longer supported by Goodman. It was new and easy to install. Just remember to write out a diagram as to where the colored wires attach to the relay before you take the old one out. There are no instructions with the new relay. Because of my needs, I opted to use express shipping which cost more than the relay. I was very pleased to get the unit in 2 days even though it was promised in 4.

Looked for replacement for Goodman with sequencers for heat pump unit. Glad to have found it as old sequencer went out 2 weeks after I received this stand by part! Made for a quick replacement.
