Nice DAC
Attached this to my Raspberry Pi 4 for streaming MP3, FLAC and DSD music. Upgraded from the DAC+ADC Pro. Did not hear any dramatic difference in the music or tonal quality. I did have to overcome the loud pop and clicks and found I needed to change a few audio settings in Libreelec Kodi. The DAC+ADC did not have these issues.

Sounds Good
Sounds good mounted on a Raspberry Pi 4. More expensive than other pi dacs. If you're like me and put things into service for years it may be worth it.

Washed out and staticy highs. Should have returned when I saw the package was already opened.
I got a HiFiBerry DAC2 HD, a HiFiBerry DAC2 Pro, and two HiFiBerry DSP Add-On Modules. Installed them in two Steel Cases for HiFiBerry DAC+ RCA, Pi 4 - White. The Pro sounds fine, but the HD sounds terrible. Highs are staticy, like a radio station a little out of tune. Same setup but with bluetooth to the amp directly sounds much better, so it's definitely the HiFiBerry DAC2 HD. Tweaked everything I could, but there is just no improving this thing. Should have returned it when I saw the open package, and definitely before the return window closed. Burned $125. Will be removing this thing and just using the 3.5mm out. Can only be an improvement. Thanks, Amazon, for yet again selling me someone else's return as a new product.

Great sound
100% improvement from a cheaper competitor.

It's ok
The economy is driving the cost of these boards up but you're lucky to get them so you pay what the going rate is. This board shipped/delivered exactly as described. Be aware that this does not come with any documentation and no fasterners/screws or stand-offs. That would be the one disappointing thing.

Wonderful DAC at a great price
I purchased my DAC 2 HD card direct from HiFiBerry in Switzerland and have it set up using a Raspberry Pi 3B in my main system. I compared this DAC directly against my $700 Schiit Bifrost 2 -- synced, level-matched and spent a couple of hours switching back and forth between the two using a wide variety of material -- classical, jazz, folk, rock and so on. I was never able to tell the difference between the two. I ended up selling the Bifrost.

For audio, this is it
I have a full LeDe environment and wanted something I could play FLAC files on with minimal effort. The output is really well done. This improved the slam and brightness of the stock audio of the rPi4 imensely. I can feel my cannons again (*1812 overture) through my BA T1000 setup and it's beautiful. If you are a mild audiophile and looking for a major bump in audio quality from the stock Pi, this definitely the one to pick up.
