Ufo performance maxair uses accel filters in the star vmax application. The highest level of filtration with the least amount of restriction and or turbulence is what we demand from a filter. Foam filters used either dry or with an oiled medium are terrible on air flow and simply a low budget bandaid fix for cleansing air. The cotton gauze that accel utilizes with a fine application of filtration oil is by far the choice of virtually every engine builder that has merit and a reputation to uphold.
