Field Sport Red and Green Reflex Sight With 4 Reticles, 3/8 Dovetail Base Mount for Airgun, Airsoft and .22 1022 10-22 Rifle

This does fit a dovetail groove on 22lr. It fits well and it has a versitale size, spring loaded rail clasp as well which gives it better retention. The battery simply fits in the side knob cap. The side knob is a solid fit and tension. The side knob adjusts between red and green and the brightnessor light intensity of each which is good for different lighting conditions. It is plenty bright for bright sunny conditions and it is plenty dim for night conditions when little dot light is needed. For red you turn it one way, and for green the other way, and the off position is simply when it's in between color selection. The middle selector is a tad stiff but ok. It selects between a crosshair sight, to a dot within a circle sight, to a single dot sight. I have not yet used it to see how well it retains accuracy after recoil shock and general handling. It comes very well packaged in very tough cardboard. It is all metal. Some minor edges of the scope housing can be slightly "rough" but the overall finish is completely satisfactory. It is clear and naturally easy to see through it without having to consciously focus through it like a powered scope. As with an EOtech, I put it pretty far forward which makes shooting extremely natural and far more balanced. There is zero struggle or necessity to adjust yourself to the sight. It's just "right there" and natural. At first, it seems a slight bit large, but it's not, and then you realize that anything smaller for a rifle would cause a struggle. Although made in China, I am beyond pleased.

I am happy for everybody who is pleased with this product. I have had a different experience. For use with a pellet gun, and a 15-yard zero, I rate this sight "not acceptable for pellet guns" because the red dot sits too high (about 1.5") above the barrel top, there is not enough elevation adjustment range, and this sight wobbles around on top of its firmly attached base (will not and does not hold zero over time).

Unit was all scratched up, used unit, no battery, they sent me somebody's return. The box wasn't even the same box that was advertised on Amazon . Beware.

works great.... dove tail mount fit on my 22 caliber Savage model 64. I would buy it again.

Its a great red dot that my son uses on his pellet rifle but the best shots are 15 to 20 yards shots at tin cans any thing smaller 50/50. But my son likes it and he is young and better eye sight and more steady then me..
