Project Partner 70263 50 Foot Poly Rope

My cats began scratching the end post on my staircase, so I just wrapped sissal rope around it the whole way using 2 carpet tacks per 50 feet on the ends and they *love* it, always climbing and playing on it with no harm done to my stairposts other than the few little tack holes. My house has a rustic log cabin look, so the appearance isn't bad of the natural rope. If I had it to do over, I would have gotten 200 feet and only needed 2 tacks total, one on each end of the tightly wound rope. If you have cats, give it a try.UPDATE: Theyve more than doubled the price since I wrote the review, no longer 5 stars for me, for that reason. over 10.00 for that rope is outrageous.

Strong and carefully packaged. A great way to tie up packages with a minimum of effort. The built-in cutting edge is very handy as well.

Easy to use and just what I needed for my project. String is manageable and cute for a rustic charm also.

I like this rope for my cat scratching post. They sure like to dig at it. The only complaint I have is it is a add on item on the website. I would like to be able to order it in bigger volume when I need it not having to have it as only a add on item.

Works great as intended. I used this item to wrap around a cat scratch that had been over scratched. Only reason its a 4 and not a 5 is because the rope came with a horribly strong chemical smell. I had to rinse them a few times and the cats didn't like it for several months.

Works well, does the job, nice and sturdy and doesn't have a terrible smell. The only reason I'm removing a star is that because of the flat reel, it can be very clunky when unwinding if you need to use a lot of it!

I bought this to replace the sisal on a scratching post and it works just fine. It is 1/4inch rope. 1/2inch may last longer on a scratching post before breaking apart.

Fixed my cat scratching post with this. A bit small diameter for that but it will work for now.
