Ear Pads Cups Replacement HDR160 HDR170 HDR180 RS160 RS170 RS180 Compatible with Sennheiser HDR HDR160/170/180 RS RS160/170/180 Headphone (Wrinkled Leather HDR/RS160/170/180)

These are the second pair of Replacement Ear Pads Cups, I have purchased for my Sennheiser Headphones These ear pad cups seem to have a limited life. The pad cups are removed/installed by rotatiing them slightly CCW/CW and lifting them off; the headset is fine but the little "L" shaped hooks on the pad that hold the pad to the headset are way too flimsy and break off after a year or two of use. Don't think they can be modified by DIY. Cheap repair -- use some Gorrilla tape. Or just by another set like I did. Sennheiser gets an A- for their blue tooth headset system (could have a bit more range) and a C- for their chintzy Ear pad cup clip on design.

When my ear pads started to flake I looked at the model number and the only thing I could find was on the transmitting unit - TR170. I contacted Sennheiser. They no longer make replacement parts for this headphone set. These fit and were probably a lot cheaper than original replacement pads.The Sennheiser numbering is confusing. This is what they told me: "(the headphone model name is HDR 170, the base is the TR 170 and when you put them together as a set they made the RS 170)".

Five stars, conditional upon how long they last. These ear pads replaced those on my Sennheiser RS160 headphones. After several years of use, the original ear pads began flaking and crumbling. That was the only flaw with the headphones, and I was glad to find that replacement parts were available. These look and feel just like the originals when new, which makes my old (discontinued) headphones new again. Ready for several more years.

I have been using Sennheiser Head phones for 7 years. I haven't had to replace the ear pads until my new puppy chewed on one of them. I am hearing impaired so I use my headphones everyday. These replacements are exactly like the originals. Very comfortable.

As best as I can tell, they are the same as the original cups. Since this model technically isn't a noise cancellation set, I did not rank that feature. However, the way they fit around the ear blocks out most of the ambient noise.

The fit was perfect. But the wrinkled "leather" pads look more like cheap plastic. So it feels a bit uncomfortable compared to the original ear pads.

They fit perfectly and easy to put on the headphones.

So much more comfortable than the original foam cups. These cups to nothing to reduce outside noise.
