This is my first time purchasing a menstrat cup. And I couldn't be more happier that I purchased the Athena brand. I sterilized it before use (as it stated in the direction booklet) as the next cycle came. I thought the cup was going to melt for some reason. 😂😂 (Don't judge me) lol. But it held its shape well, And is strong silicone. I read the directions and other reviews from women that informs you to insert your finger around the base of the cup to form a seal . I found it VERY complicated to insert a finger into the vagina while the cup is inside there. I just folded the cup forming a 'U' shape, inserted, pushed up as far as I could and as I was I pulling back down I felt a suction feeling, so I figured it was okay and just wore a pad with it. Although it did leak it was very minimum. Remember to check your cup every couple of hours. I know It wouldn't last 12 hours for me and I don't consider myself a heavy bleeder. After you urinate then wipe, and if notice a tinge of blood, then its time to dump it and reinsert, do to it being full or inserted incorrectly. It will feel a bit uncomfortable at first but after a while it will become unnoticeable. I do suggest wearing a panty liner, atleast until you've mastered it. I'm only on day 3 and no more little leaks for me, not even through the night 👏👏👏. I ordered a size 1. I do have children but only by section. Size one is perfect for me. I clean the cup with tissue instead of rinsing in the sink (I only have one bathroom and share it with my children). And cleaning it in the tub while showering works for me as well. It is a messy job. Just be sure to clean it up properly. It does come with a informative direction booklet, but just do what works for you boo 😊Hope this helps.Peace & Love 🌼🌺🌹

y'all... this thing is a period game-changer, period.i am 41, have had two children, and am petite. the size 1 is working great for me. granted, i am only on day two, but i will update review over time if necessary.i wasn't really nervous the first time i tried it... only read the (no visuals/diagrams) simple insteuctions that came in the box. thought, what the heck, if it doesn't work out, $15 bucks, no biggie.i apparently got it positioned correctly right off the bat. i wasn't convinced it was open/sealed so i wore a pantyliner just in case... never felt it, and lo and behold, went almost ten hours with no clue it was there and zero leaks. finally leaked because my flow can be heavy day one. taking it out, i was a little more nervous, and it actually fwll into the toilet. ew - be careful with that. but i washed it in very hot water with soap and re-inserted it, slept leak-free all night and did a much better job removing & emptying second time around.all i can say, if this thing continues to be as great as i think it is, i am saying hello to a whole new empty drawer at work and home that no longer have to be used to store feminine products, and saying goodbye to money spent on expensive tampons and liners that you always have to worry about changing. oh, and the dampness/general ick factor that comes with wet tampon strings, liners, etc.

For those of you who are veteran menstrual cup users looking for a side by side comparison with other cups this review wont be helpful as this is my first time using a cup. But as a first time user this seems to be as good as can be expected, I certainly prefer it over tampons! As far as the product itself, I deducted one star because I found the stem to be too hard and uncomfortable but following the advice of other reviewers I cut that off and then it was fine. Also, when I tried to order it required me to choose a color and i thought "how dumb" but then I saw they had it in turquoise and it is oddly satisfying, so thanks for having so many color options I guess. I don't know why it makes things better but somehow it does.Anyway, I wanted to leave a couple tips for those of you considering taking the plunge into this liberating world from the perspective of someone still figuring it all out...1. If the stem is stabbing you or sticking out go ahead and trim it. It really doesn't help much, you still have to reach up in there and pinch the base to break the suction2. Our master bathroom is open to the bedroom with the toilet in its own tiny room seperate from the sinks. Rather than walk out holding the bloody thing and horrifying my husband I take a coffee cup with a bit of water in it and put the menstrual cup in that when I take it out. I can then rinse my fingers off a bit in the water, walk out and wash it in the sink, go back to the toilet and put it in, and everything is pretty tidy and discreet. I haven't had to empty it in a public restroom yet but if I ever plan on being out for a while I would probably use a disposable cup with a lid so i could take it to the sink and rinse it discreetly.3. It's going to take some practice so dont expect everything to be blissful and easy and then get mad at the product when its not. Im still running into little issues now and then. Sometimes I think it's in right and then it leaks and i have to adjust it, or i move a certain way and it'll leak a bit, so for now i keep a panty liner in and I learn from experience. I think a pair of period panties would be good to use with this so those may be next on my list.Overall, I feel much better about using this cup than other methods. My body feels better, I feel like I have more control, I dont have to worry about damaging the plumbing, and Im producing less waste. I dont think there's a downside to at least trying this product

I’m officially converted to the cup . This is perfect for long days at work, especially when you don’t have regular access to bathrooms to change tampons. I go a full 12 h without emptying it . It only took a few attempts before I could tell if the cup had opened up ( watch some videos online first ) .It’s soft , easy to fold, insert and stays in place . It was comfortable enough for me without having to trim the end. I’ve worn it at the gym lifting weights / heavy squats/running with no moving or leaks ! I wouldn’t recommend this if you are gone from your own personal bathroom for more than 12 ish h since you need a stink to clean it .

Il m'a fallu 3 voir 4 mois pour être à l'aise.Il faut pas en avoir peur ,au début on peut devoir faire plusieurs tentatives pour la retirer ou pour la mettre correctement.Quand on a du mal il faut se détendre attendre un tout petit peu, changer de position éventuellement s'aider d'un tabouret d'un bord de baignoire à chacune de trouver la bonne manière" sa manière" et persévérer et ça se passe mieux.En début de cycle et en fin de cycle c'est un vrai plaisir de ne pas avoir à se préoccuper de son changement. Elle est invisible aucune sensation si elle était pas là c'est pareil.Ce qu'il faut en retenir c'est que une fois qu'on l'a adopté on a plus envie de repasser au serviette ni au tampon!Après pour celles qui ont des règles abondantes il faut peut-être adapter la taille... Le modèle.

Premetto che sono una novellina con il tema delle coppette mestruali, questa risulta essere la mia prima coppetta in assoluto è quindi il mio primo tentativo nell'approcciarmi a questo "mondo".Per quanto riguarda una valutazione sul pacco/spedizione: devo dire che non ho riscontrato alcun problema. La coppetta si presentava sigillata all'interno di una bustina trasparente, a sua volta contenuta dentro il sacchetto in tessuto. Spedizione e ricezione del pacco nei tempi previsti.Valutazione sul prodotto: questa è la mia prima coppetta in assoluto, quindi nell'acquisto ho seguito la descrizione del prodotto. La taglia posso confermare che è giusta, ovvero non mi è sembrata ne piccola e quindi con rischio perdite, ne troppo grande al punto da avere problemi nell'inserimento. Finora l'ho usata poco, nello specifico durante il mio ultimo ciclo alternavo l'uso della coppetta con i classici assorbenti. Ciò è dovuto al fatto che ho voluto iniziare a prendere confidenza con la coppetta :) Non sono rimasta assolutamente delusa. L'inserimento è stato decisamente semplice..ovvio al primo tentativo non sono riuscita ma credo di poter migliorare con la pratica. La rimozione è stata altrettanto semplice. Io mi trovo bene nel prendere il "gambo" e iniziare a tirare giù con la coppetta, e poi successivamente afferrarla con le dita e "schiacciarla" per diminuire la circonferenza quando è aperta.Ritengo senza dubbio che questa coppetta darà una svolta alla mia vita in senso positivo! Sono fiera nell'acquisto, e poter finalmente contribuire a un pianeta più sostenibile!

I have been using this product for 2 years and I will never use anything else!First of all, I had a baby 2 years before using the cup and according to the directions, if you had a baby you should use size two. Well.... PRO TIP: ignore that advice. Women are different. Some bounce back, some don't. You know your body better than generic directions. I didn't feel much different after having my child, so I went with the size one. And it's been perfect. Infact, I am positive the size 2 would have been too big for me.Next. Do not be discouraged by the learning curve. You'll get through it with patience.A year ago I couldn't put my cup in with nail extensions.And now, it's a non issue!200 stars10/107 thumbs upJust get it already!
