Just as I expected!
First, I need to address *most* of the uninformed and negative reviews.Transfer speed: The advertised speed of '*up to* 5gbps' isn't the actual transfer speed, that's not how it works. 2.1-2.8 is on and well above the 500 megabits-per-second transfer rate needed for Oculus Link's capabilities so this is a non issue.Weight: This is USB 3.1 requiring a high transfer weight plus it's for a HMD, of course it's going to be heavy! If my USB cable for my phone's fast charger was nine foot that would be heavy as well. The official Oculus Link cable is fibre optic so is going to be much lighter and thinner because it doesn't have all that copper in it. That is also why it is so expensive.Charging: USB ports exist for data transfer and are not designed to supply power to highly demanding and fully operational computers which is what your Quest is and mobile phone is. USB ports are made to provide enough for USB sticks, SD cards and file transfer, that is it. If USB ports were meant to charge phones why would dedicated USB charging ports on modern motherboards and USB hubs exist? USB hubs also have dedicated power from a wall. If I asked you to charge your laptop up using a USB cable connected to someone else's laptop's USB you'd think I was nuts! The fact that USB can slow down battery drain as well as it does for Quests which are significantly more demanding than any mobile phone is nothing short of a miracle.Oculus Link not working with this cable: Oculus Link will NOT function under any capacity if Air Link is enabled. Disable Air Link in settings, only then will the option for Oculus Link appear.ALSO for technical reasons to do with how USB ports work, if Air Link is disabled and the cable still doesn't show in Quest, change the socket the cable is plugged into until you find one that works.Onto my review! And hopefully this clears up uncertainly from reading the negative and low rated comments. The cable is great! It's very rugged so I'm not worried at all about the cable breaking, more so the socked it's plugged into haha! Both the A and C plugs are stiff and a good fit which is always nice and a sign of good quality, something I expect from Kiwi despite never having owned a product from them before.Looking into the future, the rubber is that kind that starts to fade and could dry up in the way that this kind of rubber does. That's looking into decades from now though so if you intend too keep the cable long term, that's something to consider!

Does what it says
Good cable, sturdy and doesn't feel cheap. It's a very fast cable and for demanding games where air link is alittle laggy this plays games super smooth. But I wouldn't get the 3m version try to get the longer one if you can. 3m isn't really enough. But that was my fault not kiwis 😅

Its good
Incredibly long, durable, nice materials and overall not bad. Have experienced a couple cut offs with connection but that is all.

Works well
I got the 3m version... You'll need an extender if you want to move about a lot. But apart from that it works well, kept disconnecting at first but then I restarted my headset and it has worked fine since. Much cheaper than the link cable!!

Finally, I can use my Quest 2!
For around 3 weeks I have been trying to get the quest 2 to work on my PC. I've added brand new, powered USB 3 hubs, changed the bios, updated all my firmware, etc etc. The quest 2 always recognised my USB 3's as a USB 2 and that was with expensive cabling. Turns out the Kiwi is Bl***y good value for money. So happy right now! DCS World here I come!!!!!

Great cable but
After regular wear and tear of bending it just ceases to work as well and needs to be put an angle to work. If you are careful buy it, if not look for a more rigid cable

Decent cable
Very good cable works no issues with my quest 2 to my pc only reason for 4 star on comfort is it is heavy but it’s to be expected and to be fair I’d rather save the money and deal with the weight but no issues happy customer

buona alternativa all'originale

The media could not be loaded.

It works fine but..
It's too heavy and stiff for my liking, i worry about my Oculus Quest USB-C port being damaged over time when using it, it's probably fine but i'd rather not risk it even if i do secure it properly with velcro straps if i use it.I've used it a handful of times and decided to return to WiFi streaming through Virtual Desktop instead.Pros:Sturdy (i guess)USB 3.2Cons:Heavy and stiff.
