Our LED Replacement globes use the latest HILED technology (High Intensity LED) to produce amazing output while retaining the OEM power system in its native form. No ballasts are used in our HILED globes unlike traditional HID systems which require very high voltage to start and maintain the charge need to power xenon globes. However these units do have a temperature control unit to control the fan cooled heatsink which with turn on when hot and will also turn off the headlight in event of fan failure or temperature overload to protect your vehicle. The 12V low voltage (20W) of the HILED globes and no ballast means that they are legal for use in New Zealand and Australia. They also require no additional wiring or fitment and plug directly into the OEM wiring loom. Please be aware that in some vehicles the some modification maybe needed to dust covers.
