Fantastic fluorescent light replacement for existing fixtures!
Here was my dilemma - I had a 2' x 2' light fixture installed in a pantry / laundry room that 'used' to provide bright light in the room. After 20 years, the double ring fluorescent light was flickering and the room looked like something out of Stranger Things. I wanted to install a new bright LED light fixture. After shopping at the big chain lumber yards, I decided I didn't want to spend $70 - 100 on a new light fixture. My wife liked the look of the old fixture and we just needed a replacement light solution. The fluorescent ring bulbs are both expensive at this size and terribly inefficient. Instead, I ordered this double LED light strip along with the "COOLWEST Transformer Driver Power Supply 60W 12V for LED Strip Lights". When everything arrived, I pulled down the white diffusion lamp cover (very important to re-use here) - cut out the original ballast and removed the 2 original circle fluorescent lamps. I then wired up the LED power supply (mentioned above) to the original 120V feed that went to the old ballast. I screwed in the wires from this LED strip and tested my connections briefly (on for a couple seconds - no more to reduce LED heat while in the spool). Super bright - perfect! Now I removed the backing and slowly "taped" a spiral making 90 degree turns by folding the LED light strip neatly around corners - without binding the surface mount components. My corners stick up some but no problem hitting the original cover that I would install later. I continued this, spacing my LED's lines about 1.5" apart from each other as I went around the surface of the original white metal light fixture. I had plenty of LED's to do the job, cutting off about 2 feet that I didn't need. I powered up the LEDs and they were super-bright and very white. Perfect! I re-installed the white diffusing cover from the original fixture and the light was no longer piercing, but perfectly diffused. My wife loved the brightness (with cover on) and I saved a ton of cash by keeping my old fixture and using this LED strip and a 12V LED power supply. I highly recommend this as the cheapest option if you are looking to replace bad fluorescent lamps but still love the look of your fixture. While I'm an electronics / electrical tech with 20+ years and had no problems at all doing this in 10 minute - you can easily do the same job as long as you read all instructions, take your time, use the proper tools, disconnect power (flip the breaker) while working, etc - probably within 1 hour or less.

Good value for the price point.
I've purchased this same strip a couple of times for various one off lamps I craft. The strips work well and I have yet to experience what others on here complain about. The adhesive backing could use some improvement. but for the initial tack on placement, it works well. I've found a dot of hot glue on either side of the strip will permanently hold it in place. The pads for the electrical connections also work well if they are "pretinned" with solder before making the connection. The same goes for the wiring. Pre tin the leads and there's no problem on making a satisfactory connection. The quality of light is the brightest I've found so far for a low voltage light strip in this price point.. I would purchase this product again..

solid product, impressed with ease of use & reliability. perfect for my need
got 2 rolls of these LEDs for the coverage I needed. have to admit I was somewhat skeptical when ordering, but so far, they are great LED strips! perfect for my backlighting project. Made dozens of cuts at varying lengths and soldered jumpers to connect everything together. copper contacts all soldered with ease. Not a single issue with installation - all individual LEDs are working. only time will tell how long they last. hopefully adhesive stands up to outdoor temps & time. only complaint would be that kind of difficult to separate protective backing from adhesive after cutting - I completely removed adhesive layer on one occasion, but very minor issue.

Excellent! very bright
Excellent strip and super bright. Used them to make under cabinet lights installed on alum tracks. Easily cut with scissors to custom size. Be ready to add and solder wires for custom applications. It will be a bit tedious to solder but with practice the process becomes like a 5 min or less per section. Recommend to practice with a small sacrificial section before trying to solder your final size strip. Also have some heat shrink ready for a nice clean solder transition to the wire. Once you solder the two wires, heat shrink both wires together to protect them from any impact or pull tension. Work fast with the heat gun, it could melt the LED ribbon if not careful. I would buy again.

These lights actually melted my art
At first these lights seemed alright, they were fairly bright and though the adhesive on the back was not the best and removing the backer was a pain, I don't see a lot of double row lights and I wanted to make some affordable light plates for some of my artwork. Unfortunately, after completing my project I come back not 3 hours later to see that the lights have absolutely melted my 3D printed art, the diffuser plate, and even the frame. I was perplexed at first, but when I held my hand near it I was shocked by just how hot these lights had been running, it was no surprise the PLA melted at a temperature like that.I will not be using these lights again. Unfortunately, it took me some time to get to my project so I'm just out the cost, but definitely be aware that these lights are -very- hot, more so than any LEDs I've used, and I have worked with a lot of LEDs for custom lighting projects. If you plan to use them in any situation make sure that things around it are not heat sensitive, and that any other item used with it has a very high melting point.

Even and bright light, garbage adhesive.
Lights are great, adhesive is crap(at least on 3D printed PETG), but useful to sort of hold it in place until you use a different mounting method, I suggest hot glue. The lighting is great, it is very even and is of a very nice color temperature. The segments are the perfect size for small projects, being about an inch per segment. Very useful lights indeed. I highly recommend them.

Works well
I've had this running for almost a year now and they still work great. Good brightness, no major issues. The tape on the back is really weak (which is why I took off a start) and I had a bit of trouble with it coming off of the light strip itself but they haven't fallen down after all this time. Still, I'd recommend using something additional to fasten these down especially if you are using them on something gets moved around or is flexible.
