This flying toy is high quality - far beyond my expectations. The plastic is nicely molded, and the parts appear precise and well made. The helicopter portion flies very well, and the launcher handle is an easy to use single button operation. It even comes with batteries pre-installed. The propeller uses a secondary overmolding of soft rubber on the leading ("cutting") edge of the blades, to save curious fingers.I'm a mechanical engineer, and the one other thing I noticed, besides the quality, was the intricate design and complex number of parts. I was originally looking for a simple but quality flying toy for my 3 year old daughter, after remembering the Radio Shack electric helicopter launcher I had as a kid. That Radio Shack toy kept the helicopter on the launcher while powering up by simply having a twist-on connector... this launcher uses a complicated mechanism where 3 small wheels move in when the button is pressed and lock over a cone on the helicopter until released. Oddly complex solution to a simple problem.The seller's profile image says "Closeout Services", so I suspect this is actually a much more expensive toy than the $10 I paid for it. The quality makes me suspect it may have originally been a ~$20 toy.My one wish is that it came with more than one helicopter propeller, or even that the seller had spare propellor sets available.Also, it's worth pointing out that I actually bought mine. Not that I think the other reviewers were dishonest, as they obviously were very clear that they received theirs for free/discount, but now there is another 5-star review from a purchaser.

I will be returning 2 of the 3 that I bought - one didn't work at all, and the other didn't work, but probably do to the included batteries being corroded. Very disappointing and not worth the cost.

Pros: This is a fun toy for playing fetch with my cat. He loves chasing and batting at it as it flies across the room, comes with a battery, spinner can be directed several ways, sturdy bottom halfCons: it comes with only one spinner. Once that gets lost, the toy is useless. If it had several spinners, this would be an awesome toy.Bottom line: If you have an open floor plan, give it a try. If, however you have books and crannies, the spinner will disappear. To avoid this fate, perhaps one could add a thin stripe of reflective tape.

When you first arrived it was not working and assumed it needed batteries. When I opened the compartment I was surprised that there were already batteries in there, however they were corroded. Replaced batteries and closed compartment and my child used once before the compartment broke open. The plastic piece that keeps the screw in place to close the battery compartment broke (see pictures). Glue was not enough to fix it so item is currently duct taped together... Otherwise toy is actually fun but wish it came with extra discs.Wanted to update: contacted seller who is correcting the issue by sending us a replacement. Fingers crossed the new one is sturdier as both my girls, ages 4 and 2, love it!

We own a lot of helicopter style toys. And when I say a lot I mean every single one you can imagine. Of EVERY helicopter we have ever owned, this one has been the most durable. We've had it for ever a year, and a young man with autism plays with it regularly (and is ROUGH on his toys). My favorite feature of this toy? If the purple helicopter piece lands on a hard, solid surface (tile, laminate, wood) it continues to spin, almost like a top! This toy is in our community toy box, which means all the children who come over play with it, and it's always a favorite. It's also the toy that is most likely to get the adults interested in playing too! It's well made, fun, and the batteries have lasted a long time! All around, it's a win!

Ive bought 3 of these - 1 worked the other had corroded batteries and corroded connections - it's going back tomorrow. I reordered a new one and this one arrived with corroded batteries and partially corroded connection. I cleaned the connection off with steel wool and it then worked. Kids love them but you cannot purchase replacement discs. The discs go pretty high and can get stuck in trees or on the roof, which is understandable but the fact that so many buyers complain about the corroded batteries and still nothing is being done about it is not acceptable.

Order said it required 4 AA batteries which were not included. Fine, very typical. When I opened the product to put in batteries there 4 corroded batteries in the product. Product didn't work. Promptly return the product and won't be buying it again. Disappointing.

This is a super fun toy for my 3 y/o. The only think I wish was different, is they should include more than one flying disc. The disc can break easily since it’s plasic if you’re not careful of where it launches towards or if it’s stepped on.
