10/10 from a martial artist
These are AWESOME, teaching my daughters swordplay with these. Firm enough to tee off on someone but gentle enough for it to barely hurt. Perfectly weighted for an adult, kids will need two hands. If these ever break I'll buy another set.

Great gift for anyone!
My 13 year old said this is the best gift ever next to his occulas rift which came with a much higher price tag. These are a lot of fun for the entire family. We are all having fun play sword fighting. These are the perfect weight and pretty painless. My 22 year old wants a pair of these now as well, so I'm back for more. Heck, even my moody, I mean sweet 17 year old daughter is having fun and getting a work out with these. Granted we are all bored to death in shelter in place and watching an ant carry a grain of sugar is entertaining, I'd still recommend these on a regular day.

They’re not toys!
These batons feel like real martial arts training batons. It’s a denser foam, wrapped around a plastic pipe and if you strike a person with force, it’s going to hurt. You can swing them full speed and they don’t distort or fold over. One drawback is that the foam is soft but not durable. You’re going to need to take care of them because the foam will scrub off the ends if you drag them on a rough surface. The handle is long enough to grab with both hands if you use them as short kendo trainers, and they’re textured. They also tapered them so the center of the handle is slightly thinner then the ends.As a person who has trained people in martial arts, I’d say they’re sturdy enough. If you are looking for a toy sword that’s cheap and softer go with a nerf product. The bags they give you are a nice touch for storing them when not in use.

Great training tool!
While I considered getting a sword that is fully foam, so that I could swing harder when sparring, this foam sword with a PVC pipe inside is a great middle ground.I'd say an adult can swing at like 20-30% power, maybe 50% if they don't mind a significant stinging sensation. It's still kind of dangerous for 100% power, and might break the PVC pipe inside. Also, this material is pretty cheap, so don't be surprised if you get a few knicks here and there from dropping it on rough ground. Still a very good deal for the price. Love being able to train self-dense style martial arts, without worrying much about hurting my opponent.

Held up well
We’ve had these swords for a little over a year. They have been used a lot. My son is hard on them. They have been left out in scorching California dry heat. They are starting to fall apart and I feel we got our money’s worth. Ordering a new set.

Despite being covered in foam these can hurt
My son and I enjoy using these to sword fight around the house. While they are padded blows still need to be controlled as to much force behind a swing leaves a painful experience.

Well Built
These foam swords are actually built with better materials and have held up better than the 4-5 other types I have used for only a few dollars more. The one consideration is that the better materials make them a bit heavier and easier to accidentally hurt somebody. If you have younger kids 6-7 they have a harder time with the weight. 8+ or a strong little kid will enjoy these. Get some headgear and you can really have fun. Accidental ear shots and nose shots can hurt. I'm really happy with these they've been really good for birthday battles. These 2 handers and the yellow Duel Safe 1 handers are the best I have found. They can last for years as long as you don't attack trees.
