Very Well Made...
These little collars are made very well. They're soft, they're a bit adjustable, with the velcro. Great colors too. They fit my cockatiel just right, although he is small compared to most.Sadly, he did not take to it. He fought it with all he had. I was afraid he'd hurt himself, so I took it off.If it helps at all, whenever he does that strange biting-noise (no sign of irritation, skin/feathers feel soft & normal) I mention the collar and he stops. I wish he would take to it. He's over 2 years old and as previously mentioned, he's smaller than most cockatiels. That might be good to know for regular sized cockatiel owners. I think that whatever the next size up would work for normal sized cockatielsI got the L as suggested. Thank you anyhow. You've made a great product. It's up to the bird to let it do its job.

torture device
i purchased the recommended size medium for my bird and it was a disaster. She couldn't even stand up with it on at first. She screamed and flailed scared out of her mind. It took me an hour to calm her down and the only way I managed to do so was getting her to cuddle into the crevice of my elbow. The edges of the collar are very abrasive; so much so that when my bird twisted her neck around inside it, she wore off all the adjacent feathers. The velcro section is massive as well, so that my bird could easily grip it with her beak and use that to leverage the collar around. She was obsessed with trying to pull it off. She barely slept or ate. After 48 hours I said enough is enough and took it off her, placing a homemade fabric ring cut from an old sock around her neck instead. I've never seen an anima look so relieved. I highly recommend cutting up old socks and using them as collars. I HIGHLY DISCOURAGE buying this product for small birds.

Really great quality and perfect fit for my cockatiel.
It’s really great quality. The neck part fit perfectly. But it’s a little long. He couldn’t fly with it on and it was a little to heavy with the fabric. So, I improvised and trimmed some off. And now it still does it’s purpose and he can’t pluck at himself. But he can fly and not fall over when he tries to walks or tries to land. Totally recommend. ( you may just have todo some adjustments to the length)

Needs to be larger
I bought this as I have an Indian Ringneck that has sores on her legs that I wanted to prevent her from picking at.A pain to get her to accept having it on, understandably but she could definitely still reach her scabs to pick at. The material is great in the fact that she couldn't bite through it, at all. Would have been better if it was longer, all the way around so she couldn't reach her legs. Material is soft and adjustable for comfort. I ended up cutting foam sheets to help extend the size. This worked for a few days until she realized she could bite through the foam sheet I added on.

Not a vet, but I would recommend
I will preface my review by saying that I am not a vet. When I asked my vet about fabric collars, they expressed concern about my bird shredding them, and I would strongly recommend that everyone advise their vet before making choices regarding your bird’s health. Particularly when it comes to things around their neck.I have a Green Cheek Conure and I ordered these because she injured her leg. The vet provided us with a plastic collar to keep her from touching/preening the area while it healed, but she very quickly worked her way through it. I ordered these and found the fabric was very tough and too heavy for her to rip. As I mentioned before, my vet didn’t suggest I use them, but I tried them anyway and observed how she reacted. My bird is 9 and has never ripped through fabric before (which doesn’t mean a GCC couldn’t).The velcro was also quite strong, and it was too difficult for her to remove (though, I did add a little tape at night, just to be sure). Of the solutions I tried, these collars were the only thing that worked.

Good Product - Sadly Budgie Doesn’t Agree
Little guy has a chronic wound on bottom (because he won’t leave it alone). Sadly he won’t tolerate the well made dinky little collar. Chucking a tantrum and throwing himself around his cage to the point of risking another injury. So back to the drawing board. Waiting for the vet advised bird safe bitterant spray to arrive!

Works for budgie but needs to be cut smaller
Our rescue budgie self mutilates so we got this collar. The small size fits the neck well but the cone diameter was too big so she could even climb up the cage or find her balance. We trimmed about 1cm off and now she can move much better.

Not for my Birds
Did not fit and work very well on my cockatiels

Size description is not accurate
I purchased the small sized collars as the description indicates the hole is 1.5-1.75 inches. As the pictures show, this is highly inaccurate. Quality otherwise seems to be decent.

Not for a Parrotlet
Purchased this for a parrotlet that plucks itself and had to make the neck opening larger as it was too small. The cone is too large and once on the bird the parrotlet was unable to bend to reach it’s food. Used for a total of 20 min and will have to try something else as these do not work for the parrotlet.
