Nice design, nice finish, well made to a point. This would rank higher and be 'the' carafe of choice if they'd put some type of insulation between inner and outer shells. Makes hollow clangy sound when cleaning or moving around, not a big deal but lets you know there's no insulation. Stopper swings back far enough for filling with your liquid and seems to seal reasonably well. Keeps liquid 'fresh hot' for a few hours but not for any extended time period like you'd hope. Overall nice, but could definitely be a real winner with insulation.

We were initially extremely impressed by the ability of this carafe to keep beverages hot. It really is great at that. Unfortunately, there are some issues with the top assembly which is plastic plated with chrome. The top fits well and is airtight, but the plating flakes off around the spout. That leads to floating pieces of plating in your cup which is less than appetizing. I've scraped and scrubbed the plastic opening to remove the plating and after a couple of passes, now it's OK. Still, makes us wonder whether I got it all every time we pour. Seems to be a material and manufacturing process problem. Since it detracts from delivery of palatable beverage, I have to give low marks.

For our work team, doesn't hold the heat long but clean and useful. Kind of stylish, too.

I've had this jug for a few months and regularly leave water in it at my desk at work. 3 large rust spots have developed at the bottom, discoloring the water. I thought this was stainless? Poor form.

The top broke after 3 days of usage.

The stainless steel looks fantastic and it kept the water very hot for hours. However, I agree with the other reviewer that the top did not compliment the carafe. The top of the carafe seems cheaply made and it looks as if it may flake with time. I also think the top handle part could use a little bit more resistant. Overall, I am still very pleased with the product and am looking forward to getting a lot of uses out of it this upcoming winter. I am giving my honest opinion for a discount on the product.
