I own a Rav4 2018.The family and I agreed that adding a navigation system to the car was unnecessary and redundant since we have smartphones.We then embarked on a multiple years-long odyssey of trying to find a dashboard mount that worked on the gently curving dashboard of our car.The sticky ones didn’t work, the magnet ones couldn’t adhere to the curve, and the one stuck on the windshield was too distracting.Then I ordered the BeHave Universal Car Phone Holder.PERFECT.One doesn’t need to remove the dashboard bar piece to install the holder. I slid the holder above the dashboard element, applied some pressure, and it snapped into place.It has been in service for four months with no signs of wear.I am happy with its performance.

I was hesitant at first because I didn't feel comfortable pulling out a panel on my dash but decided to give it a go because my current phone holder (which I'm also happy abt) is no longer working well with my vertical air vents. I'm so glad I bought this!Super easy to install! You're not gonna pull out the entire panel of your dash, you're just going to lift the side where you want this installed, gently and just enough to put the base on. A small plastic pry bar is included. Once you installed the base and happy where its located, you can push the panel back until you hear a snap. Connect the phone holder and you're done!Overall pleased with this purchase! My phone is now secured on my dash and no longer covering my air vent.I bought this for my 2017 RAV4 and I own a Samsung S20+ with a slim case. This won't work if you have a bulky case (ie. Wallet case or Otterbox defender).

I tried several stands for my 2018 RAV4 But the vents go the wrong way for most of the vent clip bonds to work, there is not a flat spot on the dashboard for the suction cup mount to work, and the vinyl one slide around. I just wish that it held the phone a little tighter or I could tighten the strength at which it holds the phone because sometimes I think my phone might fall out. It never has though

This was definitely the right choice of phone holder to work with our specific vehicle. If you’re looking for a custom fit holder that works with most any size phone, in nearly any size case for your Toyota RAV4 (ours is 2016), this is the one to choose. I did my usual process to narrow down what items were available on Amazon, and read the reviews thoroughly. When I finally decided, this was the item, and I’m glad I selected the perfect way to safely support and use my phone carefully while driving. I really like how easily it installed, and the included tool made it a literal snap. I was worried that I would have to remove the dash cover, but all I had to do was lift it a bit, and the clip snapped in easily and securely. I just popped the arm on the holster, and slid it into the clip slot. Locks in place nicely, too. I am so impressed that the smooth function of the inner workings is made of metal and holds the phone securely in place. There is no rattle or vibration when the car is moving, with the phone in place or not. I can now us my phone for music or maps, as well as cautiously answer calls and text with just one finger or my voice, while keeping my eyes on the road. Get this, without hesitation. Thank you!
