This product took many modifications to work with my JD 120 tractor. The body width and dimensions are not uncommon to most tractors. As seen in my pictures, the bars at their fullest extent did not reach the plate to attach. Also, they are too wide for the body. Another problem is quality control. One of the bars was stamped on the wrong end, making it impossible to attach without straightening the bar first, then bending it in the proper area - as seen in the pics. The elongated holes were stamped instead of the mounting hole end. Once I hammered and angled the bars properly, I was able to attach to my tractor. I know that modifying the product lost any kind of warranty, but I needed it right away, and returns are a hassle, especially sine I would be receiving the exact same replacement. On a good note, the metal is not flimsy. It is heavy duty and will hold up for a while. Just be prepared to modify.

I like the adjustable height of the ball stem, good for the different trailers we have, they are all slightly different.I was able to add this to my deere x304 with the rear weight rack installed.Did require cutting off 2 holes from each of the adjustable brackets to make it fit the existing holes of the rack, but the brackets will have to be removed to accommodate the weights.I can see fabbing up a bracket that attaches to the existing studs of the hitch stem that can attach to the PTO plate leaving room for the weights with complete removal.Construction wise, good thickness steel, decent coating, decent ball hitch included, class 8 bolts/nuts washers.You will likely have a close fit and need to do a little fabbing or grinding to connect it ideally, but no deal breaker as far as I am concerned.

I guess my review will pretty much match previous ones. The left bracket needed to be bent to be able to work properly. The directions were useless because they only listed parts . They were skimpy on washers for the bolts. The paint was scratched like shown in other review. On the bright side, it was delivered quickly. I also liked that it came with a 2 inch ball that could be raised higher if need be. I have a John Deere L115 and it does not fit easily.

The design is really sturdy. The metal plates are thick. It comes complete with all the hardware and a nice 6000lb rated 2" ball. On top of all that, the receiver and tube have 4 or so positions to adjust the ball height with. Even the thick metal straps that attach to the back frame plate have adjustable holes and slots to optimize the fit. The included hardware bolt that secures the bottom plate to the hitch point is 1/2". My tractor hitch point hole was 5/8", so you might have to go to the hardware store to get the best fitting bolt, but the 1/2" bolt has worked fine so far.

It's a good deal for $50, BUT I have a John Deere D140 I got the right side bolted on fairly easy but the left side a nightmare, had to bend bracket on vise to rig it to fit a hole for stability.

I chose this garden tractor hitch because it was the only one with height adjustment. I am glad I got it as I have it set at the lowest height, which is perfect for my tractor. I installed it on my John Deere LX-178. I was able to turn the adjuster bars to line up parallel to an existing hole on the tractor frame, which worked perfectly. The hitch is very heavy duty and well made. It comes with a large shaft 2” ball as well. I was expecting to have to make modifications or purchase additional steel bars to get it installed, but I was able to get it installed with the supplied bars. Since this is a universal hitch, you have to figure out the details when installing. The supplied 2 piece attachment bars allow various configurations and length adjustment, which would not be possible if they were 1 piece. I have included a couple photos that should help with my review. This is a great hitch for the money.

Would not mount to my Cub Cadet Mower, I also didn't like some of the quality of welds. For instance where the side stabilizer brackets mount they just used 2 very small light duty bolts and welded the heads on the main bar where the ball mount is. I didn't bother trying to get this to work due to the poor quality, I felt that if this bracket broke it would damage both my mower and my trailer. Not worth the risk!

I ordered this hitch and it was missing 2 parts they promptly replaced it with another one that is missing 4 pieces. You would think they'd read why I was sending the one back and make sure the next one didn't have the same issue. Response to the issue is great but a bad product good service doesn't really mean much to me.
