For years I searched high and low for the perfect southwest-colored comforter, but WITHOUT the cheesy southwest graphics (horses, triangles, etc.). This was the only comforter in the country I could find that fit my requirements, so I was willing to pay a lot for it. I'm writing this review after about four months of using this comforter exclusively, every night. Some are notes of my own; others are responses to other reviewers' comments:1) As another reviewer said, this is not an overly soft fabric; it's a TAD on the rough side, but not to a degree that bothers me. It's worth it for how fabulous it looks in the room.2) I accidentally ordered a "Super King" size, assuming that "Super King" and "California King" (I have a California King) were the same thing. They are not. This comforter is ENORMOUS and as a result, HEAVY.3) I don't find the colors to be washed out or the faux leather on the throw pillows/bedskirt to be a turn-off. In fact, I love it.4) The scattering of 2-inch stichings throughout the comforter (which are what hold it together) are indeed white, but it has zero effect on the visual impact/statement the comforter makes. This is a non-issue unless you are examining the comforter very closely, and even then, it's not bothersome.5) I added a faux brown cow print pillow and a faux fur throw (it's understated) to the ensemble and it's PERFECT for "elevated southwest" – as opposed to the kitschy triangles, teals, pinks, coyotes and cactus brand of southwest decor.6) My one real criticism is that the top six inches of the comforter (closest to the head of the bed) have begun to pill terribly. I assume this is from us touching it so much with our arms while we read in bed or what have you, but it's incredibly disappointing for the price paid. I've ordered a "de-pilling" device (like what's normally used for sweaters) and I'm desperately hoping that will do the trick, but I'd be remiss in neglecting to mention this issue.Overall, I LOVE this comforter.

I like the looks but it was very wrinkled when I opened it up and it has not improved after being placed on the bed. I suppose I will need to get a steamer or iron it to get the wrinkles out.

Unfortunately, the HiEnd company name doesn't reflect in this product other than the high price. I do love the colors and it suits the look I was going for and although it's described as red (which I wanted), it is more of a terra cotta color which worked out ok for me. Bought and stored this to use after remodeling and have used it now for only 2 weeks. As other reviewers have mentioned, this comforter is very heavy and probably not suitable for warmer weather. The fabric is like a canvas weave. I have already noted that in various places, the fabric is pulling away from the sewn tacking bars on the comforter top. I would say this set is more suitable for a guest room as everyday use could make one regret their purchase.

I have bought this comforter before and used it to cover with; it is beautiful and love the colors. The only problem was the fabric pilled with use; dry cleaning did not help. I rebought it because it was on sale for half what I paid before. I plan to fold it down at night and use a blanket under it to see if this will keep it better. I have the matching curtains and euro shams. Beautiful look !

Perfect,colors for my bedroom but I was disappointed with the quality of the fabric. The picture shows saturated color but the red and blue stripes in particular have a "heather" look. There's white threads or un-dyed threads woven into the fabric which has a canvas like texture, not the smooth refined look shown in the picture...more rustic. If the fabric had been any more ruff I would have reluctantly returned the item. The perfect color palette is why I'm keeping the item. The pillow is 1/3 fake leather which has a waxy texture. Yuck !

Love the colors in this set. Timeless!!! The only thing I don't like is it wrinkles easily. It's very heavy so we fold it down & don't sleep under it. Would love it if they would offer fabric.

I love the weight on this comforter set. Feels so high quality and nice. The colors are so fun to work with. Looks great in our cabin home. I pair with cream sheets.
