The heat in the southwest part of Arizona is sometimes unbearable. I bought these to help me to keep cooler so that I can do some outdoor activities. These have been really helpful in doing that. I did find that during the hottest times, rinsing them with water and placing them into the refrigerator for a bit before using also helps cool you better. I really like that they wrap around my neck and I don't have to worry about them falling off when I am moving around. My only wish is that the coolness would last longer but nothing is perfect for cooling in intensive heat.

I use this every day as a balaclava for my motorcycle, and it works great. It's easy to breathe through, is nice and stretchy, and it covers everything i need it to. Despite it being hot or cold out I feel comfortable wearing this.

I bought this for my son who works in an un-airconditioned building at a car dealership in Texas. He simply cannot tolerate the heat once it's 100 degrees F and higher. He uses it as directed (you must re-wet it several times a day depending on the temperature and an individuals personal preference) and he says it definitely helps him tolerate the heat a little better - and every little bit helps. So, one day I tried it while mowing my very large yard - it did provide some comfort and help alleviate the temperature (it was 101 degrees F) making it more tolerable. Definitely worth the price.

It's a bit longer than most of the other ones I've had, which is nice, but still snug and the fabrice seems to be of higher quality. The colour is perfect; it doesn't have that "pinkish" hue that you sometimes get with things that are supposed to be tan/khaki. The "M" logo is only on one end, and it's actually a lot more subtle than what appears in the listing. Barely even noticeable, really.

These were perfect for our UTV tour in Aruba - lightweight and breathable but definitely protected the face! Highly recommend!

I tried it on and am not sure if I am going to keep it. While I like the material, it feels pretty loose when I hike it up over my nose and I fear it is going to fall down. I am going to Africa and will need it for dry, dusty safari rides and am not sure it will not stretch out and become useless. Perhaps it is better suited to adult males?

This gaitor is a great addition to my work attire. Stays cool all day and easy to wick out if it gets wet and sweaty. Easy to clean and super comfortable. Would definitely recommend it for outdoor activities. 5 stars!

My fiance and I absolutely HATE the heat, but, living in CA, you don't have much choice if you want to do things outdoors.I bought 2 of these when we were going through a major heat wave recently. I like that you can put it over your head and it sits like a scarf and you don't have to fiddle around with it to make sure it stays on. I've found that to be the only way to wear that is actually functional for me. The other ways either aren't as effective or are way too restrictive (and ridiculous!) for casual outdoor yardwork.My fiance didn't want to wear his at first. So one hot day, after a long session of playing with my dog, i put this around my dog's neck. He doesn't like water: he doesn't like being wet, stepping in water, being sprayed, etc, and runs away whenever i grab the hose to water the yard, whenever i turn on the water in the shower, or whenever i turn on the sprinklers (even though they're nowhere near him)... weirdo.But, to my surprise, he was absolutely okay with having this drenched towel around his neck! And, instead of panting loudly for 20 minutes after playing, he only panted heavily for 5 minutes after i put the cooling towel around him! I was really happy that he doesn't refuse it and that it helps him, because dogs overheating is a legitimate concern (many k-9 units have been lost due to heat exhaustion.... really sad. look it up). And my dog has a tendency to not care about anything else when it's play time, not even his own health!!!(one scary example: we were playing in the front yard, and he came back limping, i was wondering what happened and tried to look at his leg. He backed away and just wanted me to throw the ball again. so i did. when he came back the second time, i realized a ton of blood on his foot... I was like OMG WHAT HAPPENED!!!? Turns out, he had nearly ripped off one of his rear dew claws somehow on the previous throw/return. To this day, I still don't know how it happened, there's nothing sharp in my grass! This claw was just barrrrrely hanging on. So here he is, limping, and blood everywhere; he doesn't care, HE WANTS TO PLAY!! Looking back at this, it's funny as hell, but at the time, I was freaking out. I immediately put pressure on it and we wrapped it and called the vet. He eventually had surgery to remove his rear dew claws. He's just fine now :) and still doesn't care about his own health. dogs are silly)Either way, This is awesome for my dog. plus it looks suuuper cute on him, looks like a handkerchief but keeps him cool. It was an unintended purpose for this purchase, but it turned out to be a really good thing for my pup, who goes 100% on every single throw, no matter if he's limping, overheated, bloody, missing a toe.... etc. It's my way of looking after his health since HE doesn't.OH, another use i forgot to mention: I had actually bought this as a gift for my dad who does go-karting. I remember he had mentioned about being so hot when he's karting (cuz you got all that gear on, helmet, full body suit plus neck padding and rib cage protectors, and you're in direct sun and heat, and you're on black asphalt.... yeahhh)So anyways, i was like omg, this would be perfect for my dad, cuz he can wear it under all of his gear and under his helmet! He reported back to me and said he loves it and makes it soooo much more bearable in that heat. So, there's another use for it. I got him the black one so that it blends in with his gear.

Fantastic, looks and works great. I have not tried a substitute but this one I am very happy with.

My Gaiter came in good time. I love it. At first it was a bit tight around the the neck. After a couple washes it seems to loosen up a bit. The gaiter is well made with a thin material making it easier to breath through. It stays up perfectly but I find after a few you have to adjust it.The gaiter can be folded up and a Kleenex or coffee can be inserted for extra protection against Covid-19.I held the gaiter under the cold water tap and snapped it 3 or 4 times and put it around my neck. The cooling part works really, really well. I’m impressed. I bought another one a couple days later.

Sure its 2x the price as on the mission website but they usually offer same day delivery so I figure its worth the little bit of extra cash.Works great, when wet, stays wet and keeps you cool in a comfortable wayfor a few hours unlike soaking a bandana, hat or shirt and sticking it on your head. Pretty good little purchase.
