Best dog toy ever
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Best dog toy ever! If I can only choose one dog toy for my dog, this will be my choice. Before I bought it, I was thinking why would I spent 20 some dollars on a toy that I can make for only 5 bucks. But the one I made is kinda heavy so I decided to give it a try. Once I got it, I think it's so worth it. It's very lightweight. So you wouldn't feel tired after 20 min playing. The rope is stretchable. So it won't hurt you or your dog.Besides, flirt pole is a very good exercise. It can get my dog tired in 10 min. You don't really need a lot of space to do it. We always just play with it in our living room. When I don't have time to walk him for a good 45min walk, we will play it. My dog gets so excited whenever he sees it. So I have to put it away when we are done (or when I am done lol)Most importantly, flirt pole is an wonderful training tool. It's perfect for training impulse control. After 2-3 paly sessions, my dog is an expert in "out", "leave it", "wait". As you can see from the video, he can do anything for it! Even tricks!Last thing I want to add is: this is not tug-of-war toy. It's not designed for it.

Works like a charm!
I ordered the flirt pole because I saw a video of our trainer using it with another dog. The dog was zooming around at full speeds while she was twirling it. I thought FANTASTIC get my puppies energy out without passing out myself. :-) Well it is totally worth it! She does full on sprints and jumps trying to catch the "animal" that teases her. Of course she does catch it... ALOT actually. Usually when I am not paying attention lol. But the material at the end is braided and had really held up. The cord is elastic so when she does get it.. it doesn't break, but stretches. The grip on the handle helps me not lose my grip when I am swinging that pole! I can't believe I never had this for our other dogs. She really has a ball with it and when I pick it up she goes crazy knowing what is coming!!Result.. 2 thumbs up!If you found this helpful, please click YES below Thank you

If you asked my dog what his most favorite thing in the world was
If you asked my dog what his most favorite thing in the world was, it'd be Squishy Faces flirtpole, (I'd be second. :/) He absolutely loves this toy, and even when he's exhausted after playing still wants to keep the fleece tassel in his mouth and squeak it. I actually have to keep it in my trunk because if he see's me bring it inside he will search for it until he finds it. This isn't so bad until he's dragging it up and down the stairs and getting the pole stuck on corners. He then drops the tassel and it ricochets against whatever object is blocking the pole.Which brings me to the only downside I see to this toy. The fabric cable is stretchy, so if there's tension and your dog releases the tassel it will come flying back at you, and you know it will hit you in the face. Law of the universe and all that. I usually drop the pole instead of asking the dog to release the tassel to avoid getting spleened. So far its held up well to my pup. The fleece hasn't torn yet, but it is kind of gross with old slobber, treat residue and dirt. Fortunately my dog doesn't care.I'd recommend this toy to anyone with a dog that likes to chase/has some prey drive. I also used it to build drive when my dog was still a puppy, as it would probably hold up better in the long run compared to the leather chamois puppy flirtpoles.

My Dogs favorite toy by far.
I first saw this on Dog Whisperer, and decided to get one. I am so glad I did. My German Shepherd Max loves it so much. As soon as I pick it up, he goes crazy, and whines on our way to the park because he is so eager to play with it. He will carry it to the middle of park, drop it, and then wait for me to pick it up. It really does work him out, so by the end of 15 minutes, he is exhausted. I use it a bunch of ways.1) Chasing: Max loves to chase it, and will expend so much energy chasing it.2) Impulse Control: I will have Max sit, place it in front of him, and tell him to leave it. I will then take a few steps back, wait and then say OK. Once I say "OK" he knows the chasing fun will begin.3) Impulse Control #2: This took a little time, but I will have him sit, then walk to the other side of the park, then tell him OK. He will run at full speed across the park to get it. At first I would walk just a few steps away, but increase the distance each time. I am now at the point that Max is on the other side of the park when I tell him OK.4) Listening to commands: I will have him sit at my side. I will walk four or five paces, tell him OK, then when he is next to me, tell him to sit. Then I would walk four or five paces, tell him OK, and then have him sit. I usually repeat this for four or five times. After successfully listening to my commands a few times, I would let him chase it.It is a fantastic toy, and you will be amazed how tired your dog will get. Remember, a tired dog is a happy dog, and this toy will get your dog tired. Just be sure to let him get it once in awhile. I have already purchased another. One word of caution, be careful after you dog grabs it, and tries to run away. The elastic cord will stretch, and if you let go it is like a projectile headed straight for you dog. I usually will run with him after he grabs it, so when I let go, it just falls to the ground.I highly recommend this toy for all dogs, and especially if you have a high energy breed.

Be Careful How You Use This Excellent Toy
My dog absolutly loves this.A word of warning though..... follow the instructions! They are clear but very important if you don't want to injure yourself or your dog. I never use this without giving my dog a walk first.... he needs warm muscles to avoid an injury when chasing this fast paced target! Don't let your dog leap into the air either! Keep the toy at the end very close to the ground. as well as warming your dog's muscles up before playing, remeber to do some cooling down exercises as well.My dog squeals with delight when I get the flirt pole out :-)

Worth buying, over a cheap version
I’m so glad I decided to get the expensive version of this rather than a cheap one. As soon as I received it I knew it was the right choice. It’s really well made and robust and having a staffie that is pretty necessary. I can’t imagine a cheap one lasting with a Staffy. He loves chasing it and I’m confident it should last a good long while, with the right use. It’s a good way to teach some good manners, as well as burn off some energy. I don’t worry about the pole snapping in my hand or breaking should he try to chew it, or the cord breaking. Excellent item. Well worth the money. The wrist loop is handy. Great bit of training kit.

My dogs favourite thing
My dog looooves this more than anything else in his life (including me!). He gets fixated on it as soon as it’s out. He used to love laser pointers but apparently they’re bad as the dog has no reward after catching them so this is a super good alternative as the dog can actually see and touch the toy on the end. It’s very well made, solid and strong. I have a 55kg mastiff/Rottweiler mix. He can tug on this and it doesn’t look like it’s gonna break - (but I do try to say leave it when he catches it and not let him tug as it isn’t meant for tugging)He loves chasing it round the garden and would go until he flopped down out of breath if I let him

Love it! Great investment toy!
I have a high energy large crossbreed (working gsd x Portuguese Pointer) and bought the large version flirt pole for one of his Xmas presents. I have used it a few times now and he loves it! I put it in the car to play with after his walk (so he is warmed up) and it is AMAZING how well he listens to commands with this as a reward (he is not terribly food motivated). It definitely helps abate the ever present high energy!! Also seems very well made. It is light and easy to handle. Would love them to design a telescopic version to put in your pocket...he wouldn’t leave me alone if I took this one on the walk! Looks like I will be able to use in the garden, once the grass dries out a bit (his feet would tear it up in this wet weather!).

Would recommend
I was sceptical about the pole considering the price so i bought this and a more expensive one at the same time. This is by far the better pole. It is light and easy to throw around making it more difficult for the dogs to catch it, however, i find the toy in the end a little heavy so once the dogs had ripped it off (i have 2 large doberman) i tore up a tea towel (this is what we have always used on the end of a pole) and tied it to the end instead. They have not managed to break it yet meaning it has lasted longer than any other product bought previously. I am very happy with this pole especially considering the price.
