Love it, love the writing and love the story!
I love this author. She has the ability to maintain continuity and yet each time the books are fresh. What doesn't change is the likeability of the people she writes about, and the quality of the author's use of words. They, the words, like the characters have warmth, humour, are fallible (they make mistakes in judgement), and yet despite the strange and fascinating world the syntax and characters occupy they remain endearingly human in the face of adversity. Family sticks together and the word family can come in the shape of 'pack'.This is a love story with sweetness, hotness (lots of this), misunderstandings but above all it is about love. Sometimes we don't want it, confuse it with other things but if we let it in then the rewards are great, and love comes in different shapes and sizes. Bull and Tommie have it for each other and over the reading of the book it grows to encompass others who need it and it reminds us of our own lives. I wish my family was as accepting, as loyal and as loving but then I have wished that with all of the books in this series and also the "The Guardians." .I save my five stars these days for a wow factor and to have that you need something very simple. You have to connect to the audience. You have to make them that believe that for that short period of time we call reading we have entered and engaged in a real world. Of course you have to bask in it, how could you not?Great reading but then it always is with this author.

I Loved This Book! Great characters and great plot.
Fantastic book. In the prior books in the series Eugene is introduced as a somewhat elusive character who seems to know when a woman will make a good alpha's mate. He acts almost like a matchmaker, but one who does it on the sly. In this book we learn a little more about Eugene, and the wolvers who work for him, one of which is Bull. This book is Bull's story and it is a good one. Bull is on his last job; he is ready to retire and get away from the stress of a very difficult and thankless job (definitely not matchmaking!),that most of the time involves someone dying. While on the job Bull finds Tommie, a young woman who is terribly unstable and being horribly abused. He must decide if she is a threat to the wolvers and who is abusing this young woman and why. This was a fascinating story. It made me mad at the cruelty to the innocent, it made me anxious for the wolvers to find justice, and it made me hope for some happiness for those who have suffered a long time. One of the best things about this book is that it had a complex plot that took the story in several directions. The book was not just about Bull and Tommie, it had several sub-plots that kept you guessing and turning the pages until you finish the book. I could not put it down.

Desperation and Destiny
Bull is a member of a unique pack with Eugene Begley as the Alpha. His pack members are hand selected to assist Eugene in uphold the Convocation of Wolves and their Primal Laws. Bull has special talents and is always the one who is called to handle wolvers who are on the verge or have already turned feral. When he is assigned the task of handling Thomas Bane, he thinks it'll be like any other job...wrong!Tommie is caged like an animal and left to be tested on by a man who she thought was a family friend. Dr. Gantor knows what Tommie is, but not how to effectively get her change to happen. When Bull finds the young woman is a cage is a mental hospital, he thinks she'll be his link to finding Thomas Bane. To his shock, he learn she is Thomas Bane and now he is faced with a dilemma of removing her humanity, eliminating her, or embracing the feelings he has for her deep inside. Can both Bull and Tommie face their fears and defeat Dr. Gantor? Will the past come back to haunt them? And who will stand for them when all may be lost?

Jacqueline Rhoades just keeps getting better and better!
I just finished reading Wolver's Rescue and I loved it! Each of the books in the Wolver's series is unique, but they all have something in common, other than Wolver's. They all have heart. The relationship that evolves between the main characters of Bull and Tommie is beautiful to watch, uh I mean read. Their interactions with the "Omegas" are both funny and touching. Jacqueline Rhoades writes characters that are very real. All of her characters are multi-layered as are their relationships with each other.I don't do spoilers in my reviews, but I will say this book has everything a reader could ask for. Romance, danger, humor; it is all in here. I laughed and I cried and had a smile on my face at the end.I would recommend this book to anyone! If you are a fan of Jackie and her Wolver's it is a must read! The only thing wrong with this book is it ended.

hard to review
I loved the idea of the story and perhaps even the story. What I didn't love (or even like) is the female lead. It's not just that I didn't warm up to her...I don't like her. And sadly would have been totally fine if she had been "eliminated". Any other story I would have returned. Instead I gave it a 4. Why?1. I love the author.2. I love the series.3. I loved the other characters.Start to finish she was a judgmental harpy shrew!!! Where Jaz was endearing, Tommie was just a mean bitch. Plain and simple!

Whole series is a decent read
The whole series was a good read for a hot summer afternoon. I read the first 6 books and that is enough they do tend to become predictable but are still good, you need to read the book to see how they get to the outcome you know is coming. But then I am famous for reading the ending of a book when I am about 25% of the way through it then reading the whole thing so I can see how they got from where I was to the end.

Jacqueline is a great shifter author
I love Jacqueline Rhoades. This entire series is really good. The first 5 were much more humorous than this one, but this one also started out very bleakly. I also really liked the expanded epilogue. If gave the normal epilogue time line and then went beyond that to expand a bit on the future of the characters. Very nice. I already ordered the next book! Also recommend Nicky Charles - and the first one and a few others are free. Very good series also, reminds me of Jennifer Ashley Shifters Unbound series.

Great, just not quite as good
I love Jacqueline Rhoades and this series (and the Guardians).OK, so this book didn't feel quite as well written; there were errors I don't expect from this author. However, I was still completely gripped by Wolver's Rescue. It's a much harder hitting story line, and the characters have to go through tougher ordeals. It's still a must read for readers of this series.I will still be a devoted follower!

Wonderful Wolvers
I am embarrased to say that this book has been sat on my Kindle since February getting further and further back due to my inability to stop buying more books. However I have spoken sternly to myself and have finally read it and I LOVED IT! Ms Rhoades cannot write a bad book but she can write a really good one. I recommend it.

sexy shifter does it for me
Can not recommend this book highly enough, as with all these Wolver books its a great story, and it is complete, no cliff hangers so if you haven't read the whole series you are straight into a great read with no wondering who was who last time. Have read all this writers books and have not been disappointed yet.....

Page turner
This is a book that is difficult to put down. The characters reflect those found everyday with a vulnerability that pulls on the heart strings and the love that pulls them together. Well written and worth the read!
