Effective Quick Fix to Temporary Issue
With the recent 'cease operating' recommendation on using some of the Phillips Dream Stations, including mine, the solution was to obtain an in-line filter and not use the humidifier function of the Dream Station (as that would clog up the in-line filter). This was a practical solution and has worked well over the summer when the humidifier function is normally turned off anyway. As winter temperatures are closing in, this is still a workable solution until the Phillips Co gets around to recalling my particular unit for the eventual fix to the issue. Pulling covers over my head seems to take care of the cold air and nose, though I'm missing the 'facial' the humidifier provides with a full mask. Considering the issue at hand, this product is reasonably cost, provides an extra filter barrier, and saves me from the alternative solution of learning to sleep with something in my mouth. While it is placed between the mask and the top of the tubing, I thought it would make it a bit more 'clunky' but its easily adjusted to. I did not make any adjustments to the Dream Station pressure setting.

Good idea but not good
The thought of product was good but in all actually not good restricts air flow very much I'm on a 18/20 air flow and might have gotten half that if you depend on your bipap it's not the product for you

Measurable drop in delivered pressure
Good things - it easily fits in the hose connections, it has good solid construction, and it is easy to view the status of the filter.Bad thing - it creates a measurable drop in delivered pressure. My Rx is for a fixed pressure CPAP. After attaching the filter, the air pressure at my mask was at least 3 levels below my Rx. This will not work. I have a newer model of Dreamstation CPAP, which should be compatible with the mask.MAYBE this filter will work for people with an adjustable/automatic prescription where the CPAP can adjust to the pressure drop of the filter. In summary -- my experience is the filter drops a fixed pressure at least 3 levels.

What a relief!
I just received my order of 10 filters. It fit my DreamStation perfectly. ( I am not currently using the heated tubing…) I did I increase my pressure by one to compensate for a slight decrease in pressure after I installed the filter. ( YouTube video shows how to do this- just google it) I have been so scared to use my recalled device, but also afraid of what happens when I don’t use it. I feel relief that now that It will filter out any possible degrading foam insulation. My machine is just one year old and has never been cleaned using ozone, so I hope it is not effected, but you never know. It’s all very frightening.Thank you KINSHIP for shipping these air flow filters to me so quickly , and for including the cleaning kit as a free gift.I will be reordering when I run low, so please, please keep these in stock. Be well!

Works for our Resmed machine
Needed a replacement for a different brand filter we had previously but that brand was out of stock. This brand fit into the hose/machine easily and was at an acceptable price
