Siamese cables give you the power to centralize your video and power distribution for your CCTV systems, and allows for more flexible placement of your security cameras. RG59 has long been the standard for video distribution cabling that is both affordable and reliable. The 75 ohm RG59 coaxial cable consists of a center conductor, dielectric and two forms of shielding, an aluminum foil shield and a 95% braided wire shielding to protect your signal from EMI. The 500 foot cables come in a manageable size on a convenient reel in a pull box, maximizing the ease and flexibility of getting your installation right.

Buyer beware of a crucial change to this cable!
If you are wanting cable for CCTV use, please note the following:1. The center conductor is now only 23 AWG, instead of the industry standard 20 AWG. This means an HD camera likely won't show a clean picture, due to the conductor's smaller diameter. In my personal experience recently, this was an issue on a 1080p HDTVI camera on runs as short as 120 feet. The farther the run, the worse the picture quality, and on runs over 300 feet, picture noise was also a problem. I tried every trick that I, the camera manufacturer, and Sewell support could think of to resolve this issue. The cable was judged the problem, even by Sewell, who I must add, were very helpful and friendly.2. While my center conductor was solid copper, you may receive copper clad aluminum (CCA). The latest specs on Sewell's website for this cable advertise the inferior CCA center conductor. They have recently switched their manufacturer for this cable, hence the changes.3. If you still decide to buy this cable for CCTV use, please consider the following advice from a professional CCTV system installer. First, use a 3 piece crimp terminal for the RG-59 cable. Compression connectors provide less contact on the center conductor, and therefore a worse picture. I made that mistake at first. Also, make sure your power distribution has more amperage than you think you will need. The power wires have a little more resistance per foot than a higher quality cable. Lastly, consider SD resolution cameras and ditch the idea of HD, lest you risk disappointment, wasted time and money. I truly hope your luck is better than mine was.

This spool is amazing!
We had some bnc cables that came with our security system and we've bought different types over the years and they were never that good quality. Even our Samsung BNC cables had picture issues when you would wiggle on the ends of the cables. Not terribly good. Our main issue however was we had wires that had to travel from one building to another suspended by steel cable. Every option we tried, never lasted. The sun would just eat at the wires, they would become brittle and break and quality of the picture just wasn't something to get excited about. They were all a set length so we always had too much or not enough. Fairly inconvenient. This spool of coated BNC cable is amazing. The coating is so thick it's unreal. The cable wires themselves are also so much thicker than any BNC security cables we have tried before. Cables are so slippery as well so if you run them in conduit [which we partially did] you will have no issue sliding them through without any lubricants. Granted you are not supplied with the ends but that's not a real concern especially when taking into account the price. The fact that this is UV rated is a massive upside. And the price is just insanely competitive. Very satisfied with this product!! Just take a look at the photo I've attached comparing this spool of BNC and Samsung-supplied BNC cables.

Works Well
I’ve used it to run cameras and PTZ’s, I used the two power lines on the cable to run the controller for the PTZ. Cable is quality. I’ve ran over four hundred feet with no loss of signal. One right next to high power lines. Update (20 April 2021) I buried this cable about a year ago and am still getting quality picture and full PTZ control. Am very pleased with the results this cable has provided me. Yes, It’s a pain to pull the jacket off and set the connectors but it’s just what’s needed to get the job done. Four Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!!

It is Copper Clad STEEL
I have never ever in my life heard of copper clad STEEL cable. Note below the questions and answers. Sewell notes from 2013 that is is NOT 100% copper or even copper clad aluminum. It is copper clad steel. I continue to fight this install from one year ago and now have given up and will rerun the job with good wire. I don't understand the need for such wire. It should be better marked in the description. Ugh over and over.

Ok at best...
Good cable at a good price but the center wire is a bit small compared to what I've used in the past and the smaller center wire breaks easily, especially with screw on bnc connectors. If you remove the connector to check the connection it Will break... Had I know this I would have looked elsewhere. I even called them after reading another's review and they assured me it wasn't the smaller 23ga but was 20ga... It's 23ga...

Its just cable
Pro: Cheap (price wise) Decent power wire gauge. Easy to strip and crimp. Clean and clear length markings didn't wear off after going thru many walls.Con: The box it ships in is horrible, Better off using a pole or wire rack, Box rips to peices when pulling wire out. This cardboard. But who buys this for the box right. When separating the power from the RG-59, The power plenum/casing splits a lot and no longer contains the power lines. Not a big deal, But a slight pain.Other: Will use again no issues in future jobs

Good quality Siamese Cable.
I bought this Siamese cable to connect cameras from an adjacent building to our central CCTV monitoring system. The outer sheath is very sturdy and probably could be directly buried in the ground. However, I would suggest you run it through pvc conduit it the distance underground is great as no matter how good a cable is, stuff happens outside in the ground. This cable has a wonderful almost 100% copper braid and appears very well made. The price was also reasonable.

It ok, and the reel busted on its way.....
the wooden reel busted inside the box, and we had to manually unravel almost the 1000ft to get the job done. very poor and cheap wood and packaging. I would not recommend this to others. The outer jacket is great for outdoor application, but the center conductor and copper shielding is cheap. It is still 100 copper and not CCA
