Little America Laptop Backpack, Red/Saddle Brown, Classic 25.0L

I was very skeptical to buy this after previous reviews but was desperate for the prime shipping and took my chances. Thank goodness I did! Authenticity wise- make sure on the right hand side of the screen that it says sold through Amazon fulfilled by Amazon. It’s when it says “sold by” and anything other than Amazon that you roll the dice on getting a fake bag. Amazon has a partnership with Herschel but other sellers do not. (The broke college student I am reached out to Herschel to make sure I wasn’t getting scammed but happy to pass along help if I can!) Bag wise though the quality is great and I can’t wait to put it to use!

I am honestly very pleased with what I received. I was really iffy about "wasting" my money on a really expensive bag, since I didn't really know what to expect just by looking at the few images amazon displays on the page. I heavily relied on the customer reviews and photos people posted (thank you, by the way) in order to make up my mind on whether or not I should buy it, or which color I should even buy. Suffice to say, This bag is very durable and looks much more visually appealing than i expected. With the red stripes in the interior, (which i originally thought was a turn off) it really compliments the black exterior of the bag, and the straps look very durable (not tacky at ALL) . The size measurements are very accurate and you can use my photos as proof. Although it is quite big on a 5'2" girl such as myself, it is able to 3 text books, a binder and a winter coat in it, with MUCH more extra space. Also, the back has very soft padding, on the arm straps as well, so it is very comfortable to wear for long periods of time, even if you are carrying a heavy load. There are two mini pockets in the sides of the interior to store small items, such as a phone, sunglasses, ect. In addition to the fur-lined laptop pocket, which can safely hold my 15 inch Macbook Pro. The front pocket is just a pocket, with a little key chain holder to hold maybe hand sanitizer or keys. However, the only con i should point out is that there aren't enough pockets. The front pocket is just a large pocket with no other mini-pockets inside, so this bag is highly recommended for people who don't carry many small items with them, or know how to use a purse or pencil case. I know the feel, being hesitant to order this bag since there weren't many details specified in the page that would've be helpful to know, or believing that the specs aren't reliable. So to ease your discomforts, I added photos that i took right when it got out of the box, including the measurements. Honestly, just buy it, it is definitely worth it.

I'm wearing the bag high in this picture, but wanted everyone to get an idea of how big it is. I'm petite, 5'2", and that's how it fits when the straps are tight. I love the width and depth of this bag. I use it for a lot of purposes, but I often use it for my camera and camera gear. I bought it along with the Koolertron New Shockproof DSLR Camera Bag Insert and it fits just right!The inside is great as it has a protective laptop sleeve and a couple side pockets. Then, the front has another pocket as well. And, the color is amazing!Some people reviewed that the snaps are difficult or come off, but you just have to be careful with how hard you pull on the straps (just like anything else). This is my first Herschel purchase but it definitely won't be my last.

I am obsessed!!! I started researching what backpacks would be best for law school & Legal Eagle on YouTube recommend this backpack. Let me just say, ITS AMAZING. You just feel the good quality. The back is made of a thick material, the black straps are nicely done, the laptop sleeve is so soft so your laptop is safe from scratches & the inside is spacious. You can feel & see the quality of it!! I continue to get compliments on it. I’ve taken it on flights & it never once hurt my back, the padding on the straps make it so comfortable. It also rained today & it held up great. It didn’t feel wet at all, I didn’t know this but a friend mentioned that it was water resistant, which gives me more of a reason to love it. Don’t let the price scare you, the quality IS WORTH IT!!!!

I got this for work/school to replace an old Jansport backpack that is finally falling apart. I got the hideous purple bag at 50% off back when I was an undergrad on a tight budget. It took a beating, for years, and I wanted a new bag that is at least as durable, and not purple. We'll see what happens with time, but this Herschel definitely looks and feels like it can take some abuse.A note about the buckled straps. They're aesthetic. Don't unbuckle them. I saw the reviews where people complained about the straps cracking and tearing. When I first got the bag I unbuckled them, thinking that it was the only way to open the bag. And then as I struggled to get them loose, the very end of the strap broke loose from the bag. I thought I 'broke' it before realizing that it was a magnetic clip. The straps are stiff and would be a real pain if you had to unbuckle them every time you need to open the bag.

I've only used this backpack a couple of times this past month and already noticed a quality issue. The leather strap near the buckle is already breaking and I've never adjusted the strap. I already passed my 30 day return date and now, I'm stuck with a defective bag with no way to contact the supplier.

This is a good bag, it does what you want it to. Some of the details are fantastic, like the fleece lined laptop sleeve and the zip and clasp for the small front pocket. But, because of the size of the bag, even when it has barely anything in it, the bag is quite bulky. As I travel a lot, especially during peak times and mostly on trains, I often need to take the bag off to walk down the aisles as it hits the chairs and respectively the people sitting on the chairs as I walk down with it on my back. It is a fantastic bag for travelling, but it could be doing with having a waterproof cover either attached or detachable, I have a bag from Vans which has this and it is very useful. I bought this bag because it has a lot of space for equipment and as I travel with a lot of musical equipment (i.e. laptop, interfaces, cables, hard drives etc) I found that normal sized backpacks were just too small, this handles all that with a lot of remaining space. I would recommend this bag for travelling or for people with a lot of equipment they need to move. If you're looking at this bag for normal use, I think it would be too big and bulky.

Strong and good looking - received many compliments thanks to it!Used almost daily with no issues and has dealt with loads of up to 15KG with little to no problems at all. The padding on the side of the bag that faces my back is a nice addition and helps to pad anything heavy or hard inside the back pressing against my back.Unfortunately after about 1.5 years of owning it, the coating on the leather is flaking off at the top of both straps, looking rather ugly and unsightly.The bag feels very strong and easily fits a relatively thick 15" laptop in the laptop compartment. Plenty of room elsewhere in the bag for everything else including a useful clip in the frontal pocket.

I cannot stress how poor the quality of this product is.First, the bag that was sent was the wrong colour (ordered black w/ brown straps and received black/black)Second, and more importantly, the bag is clearly HEAVILY used (see pictures). There are scuffs all over the bag, the magnetic clips are broken/covered in a sticky substance and there are INK stains on the interior of the bag. Not pictured is the horrendous smell of sweat & body-odour that struck me first when I opened the packaging. This is supposed to be a new bag and is anything but. I cannot imagine any scenario in which this bag was seen by an employee and determined to be fit for sale. The bag is being returned, but I am quite disappointed that for the price of this bag, all I have received is the inconvenience of having to return the product and a lingering smell in my living room.

This bag is comfortable and made from nice materials. There is plenty of room for a large laptop (I use a 15" Macbook) and my other day to day work stuff too. The magnetic attachments for the straps are strong and it feels secure.However... I have used this as my day to day bag for work for about 10 weeks now and the seam at the bottom has already split and a large hole (about 2 inches wide) has opened up, which is really disappointing. What's more, this seller (SHOES.PLEASE) are unwilling to offer a replacement or a refund.So I am now left with an expensive bag that is 90% OK but largely unusable due to poor manufacturing quality and a poor returns policy from the seller.

The bag was fine for around a year until the strap broke, photo showing. After contacting herschel, they advised me that the product was in-fact counterfeit, and will not cover it under warranty, understandably. Do not buy, I am now around £70 out of pocket.
