Don't buy these lights!I have replaced 6 so far that stopped working. Do not buy these!
12 of the 24 lights I bought no longer work! I bought a total of 24 solar lights to surround my deck. I purchased in a series of batches, three I believe. Within 2 to 3 months, two have stopped working. I contacted the vendor several times to inquire about the warranty, and was not given a straightforward answer. I might mention there is no email address or phone number to contact the vendor. You can only "leave vendor feedback" The advertising states 100,000 hours of life, which is certainly not the case. Amazon was gracious enough to replace the solar lights twice, even though they became defective after the 30 day return window. That's why I love Amazon customer service!! But the vendor leaves something to be desired. I am torn whether to recommend this product, as the lights are pretty, although not very bright, and look great, when they are working. I have to say you are taking a chance with the life of the product, with no written warranty or guarantee.Update: Another light has stopped working. This is three so far. I am revising my rating to a two. At the rate I am going, all lights will have stopped working within a year.Update: Three more have stopped working. If I had not bought 24 to surround my deck, I would give up. Unfortunately, it will take more money to replace them all with a new brand than to keep buying them as they stop working.I would not recommend these at all!

Good customer support. Read review for a great tip
We just got these yesterday. They look great and was looking forward to installing on posts around raised garden bed. However, on light was missing its base. I immediately tried contacting the seller to send replacement part but haven't received any correspondence back yet. Will be returning item if I don't hear back from seller in a couple of days or will revise my review if seller addresses my issue.Update: seller contacted me yesterday and is sending base over.Item was extremely easy to install. You have to take out plastic tabs that are preventing batteries from making contact from light before installing. Initially, one lamp was not working and found a small piece of plastic still lodged next to battery. I've seen other reviewers state that one or two wasn't working, just wondering if that was the problem. We bought these to accentuate our small garden area. 1st night these lit up, they were very bright! Too bright for our purpose. We were eye level with them so maybe that makes a difference. They actually hurt our eyes staring directly at them from 30 feet away. After brainstorming a bit I had an idea to ball up some plastic saran wrap and place them inside light right under led. (We made sure led didn't get hot first, and it doesn't) VIOLA! Instant light diffuser. My wife was happy and amazed what a simple solution it was. She came up with an idea of using colored tissue paper to put inside of them instead (the tissues used in gift wrapping). Worked like a charm! Our lights have a warm blue tone to them now. Just crumple up a small amount of paper and stick inside of light. Now we can change to any color we want. If you're concerned, we had them on for 3 nights now and paper did not catch on fire. LED stays cool.If you need these to brighten a dark area then I totally recommend them. If they are too bright for your liking, like a few other reviewers have stated, try out different colors of tissue or ball up a little saran wrap for an instant cheap diffuser.Update: Had these for 2 months and was pleasantly surprised the other morning. Woke up at 4 am, looked out the back and was surprised that these lights were still lit up. Can't believe they stay on all night long.

Really bright lights for the deck
Mounted these on the posts of the Barrette (made right here in Bulls Gap, Tn.) deck rail. Looks great, easy to mount. Everything you could possibly need is included to mount on posts from 3.5 to 7" square. All kinds of adapters and mounting hardware. The light clicks onto an adapter which clicks on to the mount so you don't have to support the light while mounting to the post which makes it simple and easy. 2 screws for each mount. I used a 7/64" drill bit for the screw pilot holes. Everything went together easily and securely. Really looks sharp and provides a lot of light. Now we'll see how long the electronics last. Will purchase more for the front walkway rail.

Screws are bad
Installation, for the most part, went smooth, though a couple posts didn't allow me to put the screws in on both sides. I blame the screws, they are just long enough to go in if the post is a perfect fit, not so with wooden posts as most 4" posts are now 3-1/2" metric, meaning less than a true 3-1/2".The other problem with the screws is that out of 7 packs (28 lights) about half of the screws were no good. They're Philips, and the center point on those screws weren't fully cut, preventing the screwdriver from being able to seat. I had to throw them away and buy new screws. As far as the light, they are plenty bright (especially compared to my last ones). While they're not as bright as electric, they are bright enough that, sitting on top of a 4' post, they light up the steps and ramp enough that I no longer need the electric lights. Very pleased with that. With regards to the battery life. We are currently averaging 10-11 hours of sunlight. The lights come on around 7pm, and are still bright enough to see around 3am, by 6am they are putting out the last, dim, amount of light. On a cloudy day they start to dim out by 5am. All-in-all, not bad for the free batteries provided. The batteries are cheap 300mAh units, a name-brand rechargeable averages 900-1100mAh by comparison. Not sure if the solar cell could charge a 900mAh battery, but will find out when these go, right now I am happy with their performance.
