As an aelf fan after the Total War Warhammer games, this was a great boxset to jump into for a new player. Has everything you need for your army and the battletome is just beautiful. Pick it up for 20% off at about £90 and it's a great starter boxset.

Very nice set

The models are beautiful as is the book. The dice look more like a sports drink than glowing light, but you aren't buying this for the dice. My only real complaint is that the Lumineth are clearly unfinished as an army so the book, while fancy and well done, probably won't be useful for that long. The army has 1 unit of spearmen, 1 unit of archers, 1 unit of cavalry, 1 unit of elite infantry, 1 monster, 2 standard heroes, and 3 unique ones (two are behemoths). All the units are cool and they have interesting playstyles, but it still feels like a really lean list. They talk about 4 elements, but there are only units/rules for earth. They also talk about 8 great nations, but only describe 4 so the rest are probably in another battletome.
