Since there were so many reviews concerning corrosion, I decided to order the 18/10 stainless steel bowls instead of just the regular stainless steel bowls, because 18/10 stainless steel is more corrosion resistant. The 18/10 stainless steel bowls are also twice the price. Well I received the bowls, unboxed them, and then discovered I paid twice the price for the regular stainless steel bowls.I contacted Amazon, and the order description suggested I purchased the regular stainless steel bowls, but the price I paid clearly indicated I had purchased the 18/10 bowls. After a "price history check" by the Amazon CSR, it was clear I purchased the 18/10 bowls, and a return was authorized.As for the bowls themselves, IMHO the handles are of little value. They really don't provide any advantage when lifting the bowls. One reviewer suggested to slide the edge of one hand under the handle while palming the bowl. This made sense to me, until I received the bowls and discovered I could not fit the edge of my hand underneath the handle.These bowls actually do nest pretty well. Each one nests inside the next larger bowl even with the lid on, because the lid seals to the inside of the rim of the bowl, not the out side.Additionally the bowls are not smooth inside. They are rough, like they have beed sanded with coarse sandpaper. IMHO not a sign of quality.Taking into consideration, the useless handles, the roughness of the bowls, the corrosion problem mentioned by other reviewers, and the fact I was sent the wrong bowls; I do not recommend these bowls.

love the bowls!
Love these bowls! I received a nice gc for Christmas and these bowls were the first purchase with it. Great sizes, inside measurements easy to read, love the non-skid bottoms. The bowls are attractive and I love they have lids. All the lids were a snug fit and the bowls are attractive. The handle design could be better. For me, the handle is too wide to be that short. I couldnt hold it comfortably by the handle when mixing but the handle works well when pouring the batter out. I like the little spouts and the lids do cover the spouts. Amazons great delivery got them here in time for my holiday dinner. My oldest daughter was late so I put my mashed potatoes in the 3 qt bowl, snapped on the lid and they stayed very warm a long time. Prewarming the bowl wouldve extended the warmth Im sure. Although not serving bowls, I left the potatoes in it and it looked ok. I used the 2 smallest bowls several times. The 5 qt is huge and Im thinking soup container without reheating right away. I sent this set to my dtr-in-law as a gift. Some reviews talk about the durability but mine arrived in perfect shape. I did notice the red set without the lids has a lifetime guarantee where these are one year. I didnt detect any sharp places around the handle that one review cited. The reviews for both sets of bowls are combined so be sure youre reading the correct reviews for the set you want.

I love these bowls and have already gotten rid of the other stainless steel bowls I had. There isn't anything I can say negative about this set. I also love how the lids fit on the inside of the bowl, my husband wishes they were air tight, but being a pour spout on it, it isn't likely you could even find air tight lids. Great price and great quality.

These are a fantastic deal! I had gotten platic ones almost 20 years ago and most of the lids were missing. I bought these and they are great! From the looks of them, they will last a life-time (if I don't lose the lids!)

Arrived dented, no equal exchange
My large bowl arrived dented. I proceeded to try to get them replaced. With an undamaged set but the only option was a refund. This was fine until I noticed that the price I would pay on the replacement set is $10 more!
