It's perfect to have when you are travelling, you just hook this on the luggage then lift it. When you are trying to weigh a luggage over 40lbs, you need to have someone who's strong enough to lift it and keep it steady, as this product only reads the weight when the luggage stops moving/dangling in the air.

I loved this luggage scale. It reads out in grams, Kg, and Lbs. I had bought one just before Christmas 2017 and then couldn’t find them again (no longer made). I’ve used it to load luggage to within half a pound of the airline limit and was clear to go on the airline scale. I still recommend you leave yourself a pound or two (about 1/2 to 1 Kg) to be safe. Small and easily portable.
