Very good piece of kit
There are a lot of weather stations on Amazon in the £40-£60 price range so picking one can be a b it bewildering. After spending some time reading all the descriptions and the reviews I went for this Youshiko YC9441. These weather stations all do pretty much the same thing. In the end the two things that swung it for me where the display and, more importantly, the fact the time is set up to run off a British signal rather than the German one. The latter seems quite common. Having he UK time signal means the clock sets itself and you don't have to adjust it when GMT becomes BST and vice versa.Setting it up was a doddle. It comes with a power lead and three pin plug but I am using a USB to barrel connector so that it doesn't hog a socket in the kitchen. I put two AAA batteries in the outside sensor and put it under the eaves of the garden shed. The sensors is not waterproof, as it needs to register humidity, so it needs to be out of direct rain and sun. After hat I just plugged in the weather station and left it. Within an hour it had picked up the time signal and the outside temperature was being displayed correctly. That as it. You really need to keep it plugged into the mains to get the best of it because, when running on batteries only, the display cuts out to save power. It has a nice clear display and I particularly like the graphic for moon phases. The only downside in my view is hat it does not give sunrise and sunset times. Other than that, I'm extremely happy with it.

good for everyday use
I bought this as my old weather station finally packed up after about 15 years of loyal service. That brand didn't seem to exist anymore so I looked on Amazon for a new one. I am not a massive weather enthusiast, but I like to track outside and inside temp as it helps me decide if I need my big coat or if its too cold to go for a run! I dont need very high accuracy but the first station I bought was off by about 3oC and despite contacting the support email three times, I never got a response. And the accuracy never improved, so I returned that unit and bought this one instead. One thing that struck me was that the base units and remote sensors look almost identical between this and the one one I returned. I suspect they are all made in the same factory and just re-branded as necessary. Although there was a slight difference in the display (clock size). They were also very very similar.Setting up: was actually pretty straight forward as I had set up the previous one and I have to say the instructions for that were much more comprehensive and easy to read. This one the instructions are minimal and in a font so tiny I could only just read in bright light with my reading glass on. in fact I resorted to using a magnifying glass! On the whole it kinds of sets itself up - unless you want to change to 24h clock or have day shown before date or vice versa. The clock updates itself via radio signal which is a very nice feature, although be patient as it can take several minutes before it updates itself. The remote sensor I just popped a couple of batteries in and it connected itself to the base unit. I currently have mine close to the base unit so cant comment on range. As the remote detects humidity it is not waterproof so needs to be located somewhere sheltered. I have bought a housing for it off ebay so hopefully it comes soon and fits! Humidity readings were very close to other devices I haveAccuracy: When I first set this up I was surprised at how far off the temp was compared to a temp sensor and the old base unit for my old station. It was 4-5 degrees out! I contacted support who responded quite quickly (on a sunday no less!) with some suggestions.HOWEVER I left it alone for a few hours and the temp display seems to have come into line with those other devices. I think it is just quite slow when big temp drop happens (mine was cold as had just been delivered and set it up indoors so there was a big temp change to adjust to). Now that mine has been set up for 24h it seems very close to other temp devices I have checked it against. I have no way of knowing exactly which is correct but they are all within ~1oC of each other and for my purposes I'm fine with that.Display: Display is nice and bright and perhaps a little busy, but at least the temp displays and time displays are amongst the largest on the screen so that suits me. The one I returned, the time was very small. The brightness can be adjusted but I am running it from mains (supplied thankfully!! not just a cable!) I keep the display on bright all the time for ease of viewing. The pressure display is confusing and very small so if that is important be aware!Forecast: So far (its only been a day!) I have found the forecast to be inaccurate, but for a budget device like this I dont think you can expect too much.In short I think this is a good budget device, but be patient when setting it up and let it "settle in" for a few hours!!

Comprehensive weather station.
My previous weather station, purchased from a different outlet, had a sensor that was no longer working and I was unable to obtain a replacement.I purchased this Youshiko weather station as it seemed to fit my requirements. It has a three pin mains lead and also a battery back up with 4 AA batteries ( not supplied ).Setting up the weather station and its sensor ( powered by 2 AA batteries ( not supplied ) was straight forward although the printed instruction were in very small print. The weather station display is clear and the readings tally nicely with the BBC weather app for my location.I have only had this product for two days but the initial indications are that it will prove to be a satisfactory purchase and, for its price, good value.I will update this feedback if anything changes to the contrary.I have also ordered two additional sensors and await their delivery-should be later this week ending July 20th.

Very good product. But ...
I have had the YC9441 weather station for just over a month and it continues to work fine. It was easy to setup and linked to the external sensor without problem. The YC9441 gives a good, clear, colourful display showing all features as described: time, date, internal and external temperature and humidity and pressure. The one disapointment concerns the animation of the Forecast and Pressure displays. The Forecast display can be distracting especially when it shows white clouds flicking from one side to the other of the display window. For Pressure, the animation is just wrong. It shows 7 readings for pressure over the previous 24 hours, that is, the pressure at 3 hour intervals which is fine. But the display undates continuously. This means the you cannot simply glance at the display to see the pressure trend, you have to wait for it to update and you only see the 24 hour history for an instant before it clears the display and starts the update again. The display of the pressure history should be visible at all times and it needs only to update every 3 hours.
