Otto Tuning System 10, 11 Speed Cassette

Does not work, as a bicycle mechanic myself, I gave it a try to see if the system works but it just makes no sense. Better use the regular tools instead of relaying in this. Being new do not always means better.

Conceptually, this product is great and was excited to try it out in hopes it provided the fidelity to net near perfect adjustments. Placing the plastic clips was very easy, as advertised but, quickly went down hill from there. First negative surprise was discovered when I had to pay to use the application, and were not talking a cheap one time charge which started off the experience on a negative note. I paid for a 7 day usage plan only to find the instructions to shift the chain to specified rings on the cassette were not clear at all. And after making several adjustments based on my interpretation of the instruction, I was in worse shape than I started. In the end, I abandoned the usage of this device and manually readjusted my settings to get me back to where i started. So, I am now the owner of a completely useless tool that I considered reselling on ebay but, couldn't feel good about myself taking any money for this product. Before spending any money on this, I would suggest look at youtube videos on setting up your upper/lower limits and using barrel adjuster to optimize your indexing - cheaper, easier, and you wouldn't have wasted your money.

Save yourself the time and money! Being a gadget guy and seeing that the reviews were decent I wanted to give the Otto Tuning system a try. First you have to pay for a subscription to access the full capabilities of the the product. Secondly it just doesn't work well. It uses the front camera which is very light sensitive and has a hard time actually capturing the data points. Any shadows on the data points makes for a difficult time. Once it does take readings then the recommendations are not always the best. Ex. 4 turns CW then follows up with 6 turns CCW.......How does this make any sense. Haha!I tried the product on both a 1x10 Mountain Bike (XT Shadow) and a 2x10 Road Bike (Dura-Ace). I received "OK" results on the MB but fine tuned after the fact. The end results for the roadie where awful!!!At the end of the day support your local LBS or better yet have them teach you how to properly tune your bike!

This has worked for the most part. I gave it three stars because it seems to tune the bike to about 90-95% and it can't get the last 5-10% so everything is shifting smoothly. There always seems to be a couple gears that are still not shifting correctly.

What a piece of Junk, Tired to use this on an Ulegra 10 speed, it kept telling me to tighten the cable, but could not tighten anymore, was so far off. Then I tied it on a DI2 system, did not work on that one either. Plus you have to pay a subscription to use it, 3.99 per week, what a joke.

This works great! Put on a new derailleur. Within 15 min had the bike completely tuned. Always had issues with adjusting the rear and this literally takes all the guess work out of it. Highly recommend.This will help anyone that takes in the bike on a regular basis. With a mechanic stand you can do your tune ups for a fraction of the price of taking it to a bike store.

Absolutely delivered on the promise of the tool/app combination. We shipped several bikes cross-country, and used Otto to tune the derailleur after re-assembly. Everyone said it was as good or better than their bike shop adjustments. I've used it now on SRAM and Shimano, 10 and 11 speed drive trains. Worked fine on all combinations.

Was easy to use the first time. Bike was already in tune so I didn't try this functionality. So far, think its a great product.
